Dr BLTopia? Some Bakotopia bloggers fear this, want to muzzle me/limit free speech

It just doesn't make good horse sense to me.  With their latest surprise attack, seemingly out of nowhere, they seem to have learned from the Russians. But this is not Georgia, and this is not the KGB.  But when they look deep into my eyes, they see "hostile takeover."

They seem to be the same bloggers that so passionately decry any attempt to limit free speech.  Yet they want to muzzle me, or limit my expression of free speech over at Bakotopia.com

For some reason, I'm not able to access that sight right now----no doubt, a vast, left-wing conspiracy :)

Muzzle me?  I wouldn't want to be the one betting on that horse!

But if you want to either come to my defense, or pile on, and become a free-speech muzzle-advocate, join the debate over at Bakotopia.com

See Dr. BLT Posts Too Much, or check out my counter-offensive blog, to join in.

Thank you.  Coming from a band that is a central part of Bakersfield history and culture, I would have to accept that with the utmost sense of humility and a deep sense of honor!

Some would say, "Don't encourage him," but I would say, "Pay no heed!"

Good Grief.  How often to you have to go on one of these "all the baddies are out to get me" tangents?

Also, as you know, bringing up free speech on these blogs is like bringing up free speech on someone else's couch.  Maybe what you need is your own website coupled with a 24 hour "Bruce-cam".

Maybe what you need is your own website coupled with a 24 hour "Bruce-cam".

I've already got that at:

http://www.drblt.net

and at

Bakersfield Sound Underground

http://www.bakersfieldunder...

and, guess what, big daddy of all "baddies"?  You're on Candid Camera :)

blognroll: This is a pretty free-for-all site. You can post "the sky is blue" and offend somebody. Blog on and don't worry about it.

Thanks, catpaw.  I think I'll take you up on that advice.

Well, Doc, all I can say is that you could somehow redirect all that energy into doing something good in the world, you could really get a lot done.

The sky certainly is NOT blue cat.

This is Bakersfield! LOL

Well, some may say that I'm already doing that, and that the energy does not need to be redirected.  It only goes to show that one man's piece of trash is another man's treasure.

Sometimes how good, or how bad the food tastes, depends on what we bring to the table.

I went over to the site and was able to view your profile.  Which means something else affecting you.

I thought you mey have been locked out like me.  Don't believe me, go to Top 10, click on tekwiz....see, inactive user.  Not my doing.  Notice if I was deleted, every single post that I have put up over the past two years would be deleted also.

Something must be happening here too, Doc. You blog about changing the anti-Jesus symbol meaning is gone. (or could it have been YOU did not like the discussion that was going on there? Hmmmmmm).

There was a typo so I was going to unpublish it until the typo was corrected.  I must have hit the "delete" button instead of the "unpublish button."  I must have hit it twice.  I hate when that happens.

Bruce, it's like if I posted five or six blogs every day which related to how terrible an organization Teen Challenge is. Both the men's and women's locations are in Kern County, and I could certainly come up with at least 100 anecdotal blogs dealing with my time there.

Folks sure would get sick of it, though, and most wouldn't care to begin with.

Just like religion, gay marriage and bears. And Obama.

Well, BNR, they haven't started a "Should non Kern Country Residents Be Allowed on Bakersfield.com" blog to vote you off the island like happened to me.  Wayfarer graced B.com with that after I hit the "delete" button on him for spamming my blog. That "debate" of Wayfarer's earned me several stalkers, the most creepy being VWilroy, who follows me from one thread to another ONLY to complain about my homosexuality even when the blog I'm visiting isn't even remotely concerned with a gay issue.

Do you get stalked?  I was pretty much shaken out of my boots when last week VWilroy EMAILED me asking personal questions about where my daughter lives and doing so right after hamming me for participating on B.com.  Besides the creepy email, she's now stalking any OTHER web site I participate on, then coming back here and making incoherent statements about my presence elsewhere and using summarizing with "he rubs homosexuality in our faces".

Huh?  She STALKS me and she's sick of my homosexuality?

I just though I'd mention this about VWilroy in case I or my daughter end up murdered by this person.

I say to you - Blog On! I'm old enough to tune out what I'm not interested in commenting on. I don't need to grant you the right to say what you want to. You already have the right and you don't need anyone's permission except the site owner.  I enjoy some of the things you blog but if I don't I just do what anyone ought to do - ignore it and don't spam/troll it to show your ignorance and low IQ.

Twas no conspiracy, you're still up at  Bakotopia.com.

Bakotopia.com and Bakersfield.com share the same software, so if there was a technical difficulty, we'll get to it - browser compatibility, etc. and fix it in time.

People are allowed to blog as they wish - but keep in mind, every website has a moderator and a "Terms of Service." Gotta keep the flow going.

Different sites - different audience.

Thank Ye and Goodnight.

HM, reliable sources tell me that VWilroy ordered an RPG from weaponsofdestruction.com

Keep your head down...

posted by Wayfarer on Aug 13, 2008 at 06:46 PM

Uh HM, what makes you think that blog was about you?  And I most certainly did I not state any where in that blog that any one should be banned.  That was for discussion purposes only.  I do know how you feel though.  When I first started posting the atheist did there very best to get rid of me.  I too had my share of stalkers.  My advise you don't post personal information about yourself.  The inter-net if full of lonely marginalized people.

posted by vwilroy on Aug 13, 2008 at 06:54 PM

jbs, that was a secret between us.  Thanks for letting this out.

HM, I just sent you an email and then read your comment.  Funny.  I go from stalker to murderer.  I love it.  I am going to have to let someone else stalk you for now as I have to go to a concert.

Blognroll, I find your post entertaining and a free expression of yourself.  You can post all you want.  If we don't want to read it we won't.

posted by blognroll on Aug 13, 2008 at 07:51 PM

The left-wing conspiracy statement was just a feeble attempt at humor, matt.  My accessibility problem at Bakotopia.com is coming from a source unrelated to either you, bakotopia.com or bakersfield.com   But I appreciate your support of free speech.  And thanks to all who have made supportive statements here.

Some have a sinister agenda and others need to voice a lifelong predjuce.
