A Couple of Mavericks: Listen to the new song and keep an eye on the winning ticket
The country is going to wholeheartedly embrace John McCain and Sarah Palin as the winning ticket. They represent real change, and they are prepared to put country before anything else. I'm proud of the current President of the United States, but let's face it, how good could you do when your citizens are dogging you every single day? It would be like running a race, and getting booed by nearly all the spectators, every step of the way. For simply not resigning in the face of all that shows tremendous courage. Let's encourage him instead of beating him down, and let's be proud of him. But let's all face the fact that his term will soon be over. We need a fresh start, and we will get it with these candidates, the candidates, I refer to, in this song as: A Couple of Mavericks from the CD, That's Politics at: http://www.drblt.net words and music by Dr BLT © 2008 they're a couple of mavericks runnin' in a race a couple of mavericks bound to take first place John McCain and Palin rock maverick action and straight talk a couple of mavericks that is what we've got
they're a couple of mavericks with a history of shakin' up the same old hackneyed things forward-thinking on the move 2 great mavericks, catch the groove a couple of mavericks you son't see them lose
come November they will win soon a new term will begin hop on the wagon now, my friend John McCain and his running mate are comin' round the bend 7 comments from 5 users

In 2000, McCain nearly beat George W. Bush by being an outspoken, even honest politician, which stunned everybody. He also is known for crafting bipartisan approaches to issues such as smoking and campaign reform.
His most maverick stand was his opposition to the Bush tax cuts, which he deemed irresponsible, and a long term threat to the American economy, and a balanced budget.
He has apparently decided "now or never" and seems to have sold his soul, suddenly adopting a bunch of boilerplate conservative positions he was brave enough to resist 8 years ago. Now, conveniently, he's even claiming to be a Baptist instead of an Episcopalian.
His new slogan of “change” is ironic, since it’s 8 years of Republican doctrine that he promises to change.
What exactly makes him a Maverick?
