Latest in Bakersfield "BLOG WARS" one-man band ban scandal: Comments mysteriously reappear
Here's the latest on what is rapidly becoming known Bakersfield's BLOG WARS ban scandal.  The comments posted at the biggest Bush-bashing blog site in Bakersfield, previously reported as MIA have mysteriously reappeared.  A certain commenting party that I have the utmost respect for here trusts a certain party he believes may have been falsely dragged into the middle of the scandal, is innocent of the censorship allegations.  Therefore, I will not add insult to injury by further implying that this Bush-bashing blogger, once discovered, undid what he dun did (or alledgedly dun did).  If the blogger who believes may have been fallaciously dragged into the middle of the scandal wishes me to delete my initial blog thread, I will do just that.  If he/she wishes that I offer an apology, I will do that as well.  I am all about the left and the right coming together in a spirit of unity, so if I have done anything to contribute to disunity between the left and right, and if I have done anything to create a spirit of divisiveness between bloggers of disparate viewpoints, I will do whatever I can to make it right (no pun intended).  But please, if you believe you are the victim of any fallacious allusions, keep in mind: Any press is good press.

"Any press is good press" only if they spell your name right.

Seriously, Doc, you're starting to sound like Joe Lieberman with his "hacked website".  It's a known system glitch that corrects itself.  Besides, you're stepping on the toes of the far left with your conspiracy theories here.  :)

A person has to reach pretty far to step on the toes of the far left, Tom :)  Stay tuned.  I'm working on a brand new hypothesis for the alledged disappearance of the comments.  I'll give you a hint: It has something to do with Hillary Clinton.

Oh jeez. I'd like you, blognroll, to delete this comment, then have it reappear. Just test your theory for me.

You know, if you'd like help with the Hillary connection, lemme know.  I'd like nothing better than to see her step out of the Whitehouse race.

Why Tom? I've already got the mock up campaign posters for her. Instead of an American flag it's covered in really big targets.

Blognroll..your seriously taking pages from the Shrub now..your not getting enough hits on your blog, so you whip up a little controversy? I had the utmost respect for you..up until today..I won't frequent your posts anymore..your very pathetic in your need for readership.

Dusty, I say this with the utmost respect.  I think you are super cool.  But don't go after him, don't make an enemy where we have an ally.  Something got screwed up, it's over, now let's get back to bringing people into the fold.  Under everything, you know the Doc is a Democrat, he just doesn't know it yet.

Thanks for the support, Tom, but if dusty is truly upset over this incident, or has lost faith in me, I don't blame him.  I was not sure what the cause of the strange disappearance and reappearance of my comments was, and that's why I presented my suspicions in a tongue-in-cheek manner.  If what I did from that point on looked like a pitiful attempt to gain blog action, it was only to cover up my own sense of humiliation over jumping to conclusions.  Dusty, I'm truly sorry.  As I mentioned, if you want me to delete anything that seems to imply that you are the cause behind the mysterious disappearance/reappearance of my comments, I will do just that.   I'm really not trying to keep this going in a pathetic attempt to gain blog action, or as a publicity stunt.  That may be my ridiculous spin on the whole thing, but it's all just a way of trying to put a humorous spin on what looks like a case of me seriously jumping the gun and jumping to conclusions.

Good Grief!  Blognroll has eaten crow, he's apologized, he's humbled himself.  What more do you want.  Put on your big girl panties and accept the man's heartfelt apology!

I'm rather new to this blogging community.  I never anticipated such support, especially not after making such a fool out of myself in an open forum.  I'm unworthy, but truly grateful for this unwavering support and loyalty.  I don't think Jim Baker of the 700 club had this much support after his infamous fall from grace.

You get one freebie, Doc.  Then we go after you like chickens seeing blood.  ;)

Agree with DG.  Can't we just let it ride?  Blognroll is perfectly OK in my book -- and he is an ally, even though he describes himself as a conservative or a "moderate right winger."
.
He is an ally because he wants to end the hate and division in this country.  This fact alone proves that he is not part of the far right wing.  A real hater would have no desire to see a world in which we all get along (or get a song ;-).

Gee, Tom, I don't even think they gave Jimmy Swaggart a "freebie," after his humiliating tumble.  And speaking of chickens, look what they did to the Dixie Chicks!  Now I wish I hadn't been so hard on Dan Rather.  I now know how tempting it is to release something when you think you've got a story with legs, especially when you see your blog visitor numbers dwindling.   I think God allowed this to happen to make me feel more sympathy towards liberals like Dan Rather.  Until you've really been tempted, you just don't understand the pull of that temptation.

Thanks for the love, Hardliner.  I've always said that anyone who is willing to get up with his wife at a Karaoke and take on Olivia Newton John and John Travolta's classic duet from Grease---- Summer Nights, can't be all bad.  I'll be eternally grateful for your support, and because you probably had a crush on Olivia Newton John back in the day, just like I did.

Damn, I want to sing that song from Xanadu, but nobody has it -- not even me.

Dan got punked.  The document was a forgery of a real one containing the same info.  He confirmed it over the phone with the woman who wrote it, but she never saw it.   I never saw anything thqat showed that the story was wrong, just the document.

As for sympathy, that's cool.  Sometimes it takes a bit for the truth to come out.

Which one?  "I'm Alive?"  Did you notice that not only can't ONJ dance, she can barely skate?

No, Xanadu itself.

Either way, Dan Rather now has earned my full respect and heartfelt sympathy.  Hardliner, you might find that Xanadu song if you google in ELO instead of Olivia Newton-John.  On the other hand, have you thought about getting your wife to join you on a recording of "Let's Get Physical"?  A remake of that classic as a duet is long overdue and I think you and your wife may be the just the ticket to turn it into a top ten smash hit.  (Watch this comment be deleted by an Olivia Newton-John basher!:)

In Xanadu did Kubla Kahn a stately pleasure-dome decree
Where Alf, the sacred river ran, through caverns measureless to man
down to a sunless sea...

Damn that guy from Porlock!  There should be MUCH more.

Man, everybody is human. If someone is mistaken and delivers an honest appology, a civilized person accepts it and allows mistaken person to maintain dignity. Even kids can be taught this concept. Eventually, the shoe WILL be on the other foot.

Geeezzzz...I've been reading this blog like it was written in a foreign language.  I have no idea what the war was over, who was fighting it, why anyone was owed an apology, why anyone GAVE an apology or who's on first.

Nevermind,nevermind....I don't want to stir anything up...I'll just go to the next blog shaking my head and wondering what hole the white rabbit ran down.  In.  To.

Like a science-fiction novel I read once, Nancy.  Man vs. alien for centuries.  They finally learn each others' language, and the first question we ask is "Why did you start this thing?"  And the answer is, "Who, *US?*"

LOL  RF..I like that.  We used to joke that parents would get involved in kids fights and while the parents battled on, the kids were out playing together and didn't even remember what it was all about.  Or care.

We would watch parents fight over Little League games and talk to the other team, whilst parents rolled around in the grass fistfighting.
