It's really disappointing to see the lack of reporting regarding the demise of San Joaquin Bank.  The Californian's business reporting is mediocre at best but you would hope that after the fact they might be willing to try to tell the story.

What happened?  So far, it's been mostly been a personal interest story about the employees and how magnanimous Bart Hill has been and, oh yea, they had nice pens.

Bart hill received $2.1 million in salary and bonus for the three years 2006 - 2008. Over $1 million was bonuses. Bruce Maclin received the same amount in bonuses.  How is that not relevant when the economy is tanking?   Did they really give up their retirement packages?

How much in bonuses was paid out last year as the stock dived.

In addition, Ginger Moorehouse is on the board - what was she doing?  And , coincidentally Bart Hill is on the board of the Bakersfield Californian.

Some of this information has been reported in the past but not lately and I believe it is relevant to reporting this story.

Also, what's the story with Bruce Maclin?
