Jacquie Sullivan's wedding
Bakersfield City Councilwoman Jacquie Sullivan got married last weekend to her high-school sweetheart. She just e-mailed me a copy of the invitation, which she wanted to share (and which I think is great) because it juxtaposes her prom picture with a picture of them now.

But, Sage, how do you know they're happy? That photo only shows them from the chest up. Why? Because she has a gun pointed at his [bleep]! "Smile, buster, or lose it!" posted by

Not everything we post on our blogs has to be news. Some things we just post because people might like to see them. posted by

It's always news when a conservative gets married, and the union affords yet another opportunity for more conservatively- raised children to be graciously brought into the world. Yes, it may be a little late for children in this case, but, hey, has anybody heard about Sarah in the Old Testament? May the marriage be a blessing, and may it be fruitful in producing offspring. posted by

Me too. Let's put politics aside and celebrate something we're all capable of: LOVE! No way. I've been in love with seven women in my life, that's enough.

Those seven are what I have at The Top Level. There are lower levels, of course, like cases of Viral Love (the 24-hour kind), and those who I flat-out lied to so that I could get what I wanted when I was in my early 20s. In the eight years that I've lived in The Valley, though, I haven't come within a mile of even a case of Viral Love. San Diego really spoiled me where attractive single women over 40 are concerned...
