Ok, I read the news this morning that Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize.  Really?  This must be a joke.  I looked at the calendar just to make sure it was not April 1st.  I mean, come on, really?  The Nobel Peace Prize?  Are you sure?  This is given to a man who is single handedly driving this country down the slippery slope of destruction.  We are on a path that is going nowhere.  And as if his head is not big enough already!

Now let's compare him to Greg Mortenson, author of Three Cups of Tea.  Here is a man who is the son of a missionary and a former army Medic and mountaineer.  Greg has made it his mission to build schools for girls in places where opium dealers and tribal warlords kill people for trying. His Central Asia Institute has built more than 130 schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan — a mission which has, along the way, inspired millions of people to view the protection and education of girls as a key to peace and prosperity and progress.  Obama claims that this award has humbled him.  Well, I am sorry but Greg is so humble that he is truly touched when he receives anything from anyone just for hearing his story.   Here is a man that truly deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.  A man that has traveled to hell and back to build schools in some of the most dreadful places on Earth that we, as spoiled Americans could not even begin to fathom.  Here is a man who gets beaten out by another man who in 9 months has stimulated this entire country into so much debt that our children's great grandchildren will still be paying, to a man that failed to lobby for the Olympics in Chicago (thank goodness is going to a continent that has never hosted an Olympics), which also I thank God we did not get since we don't need to spend $5 billion on something that lasts only 2 weeks.

I am sorry but, to me, Greg Mortenson, should have won this award long before our esteemed leader should have.  What is wrong with this picture?
