The Obrilliant Candidate: Another Gaffe or "I See Dead People"?

Does this guy see dead servicemen in the audience or does he just not know the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day?

"On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."

This guy is starting to look more like a bad comedian than a presidential candidate.  It's looking more and more like the Democrats may be feeling a little buyers remorse now.

Will "holidays" be the next thing that Obama announces that we should not talk about?

Heard on the news today that he claimed his Uncle was one of the soldiers who freed the captives at one of the Nazi prison camps and told him all about it.  He got called on it and changed to Great Uncle and a different camp when he was tripped up on dates.  This guy gets more scary every day.  I know most politicians are liars but this guy can't even keep a story straight. Ifg we have to have a liar for a present I would prefer to have one that can keep his lies straight.

Yeah, but 57 states?  Maybe he was thinking of John Kerry at the time.

Things are going to get rough for him.  He's been given a "pass" on stupid remarks and white lies during his campaign against Hillary because democratic party leaders and MSNBC decided he was going to be the democratic candidate.

The Republicans won't be as gentle or accommodating to him.

"Let the bloodbath begin"!

The Republicans would savage any Democratic candidate, Audrey.    It's the only possibly way *THEY* can avoid a political bloodbath.  The voters decided he was going to be the Democratic candidate, and he turned out to be the best choice.

Yes, the Republicans will savage any democratic candidate.  But, we KNOW that Hillary can take a punch.  Can Obama?

He seems super sensitive to me.  Remember "Leave my wife out of it"!   And THAT was before the Republicans get ahold of him.

 Time will Tell.

and FYI

We have Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews to thank for much of his success.   Two "news personalities" for pete's sakes. Makes me proud to be an American.

Liberals can never again complain about the influence of Rush, Sean,  and  that turncoat Dick Morris with a straight face.

Olbermann and Matthews reach a couple of hundred thousand people.

Rush and Hannity reach tens of millions of people.

Do you still want to talk about influence?

We know Hillary couldn't defeat Obama even *WITH* Limpbaugh's help.  The plain cold fact is that she hired, and relied on, the wrong team and it cost her the nomination.  Had Obama not beaten her, that same team would have been in place against Mc894 and lost the general.

Random

Remember how  angry we were when Gore lost to Bush even though Gore won the popular vote.  (shenanigans aside)

Now Hillary is losing to Obama even though she has a majority of the popular vote.   Who's voice is being heard.  An industrial urban voice?   Who's going to speak for the rest of us?

posted by randomfactor on May 28, 2008 at 07:30 AM

No, Audrey.   You *KNOW* better than that.

.

The Clinton Campaign has reached the Bargaining stage of grief, trying to get the VP nod.   Then comes Depression, sadly, and finally Acceptance.  Then we can move on.

Words to live by come November, Random.

I tell all the Republicans that, Audrey.  They'll survive President Obama.

Not whilst you're under it

Will "holidays" be the next thing that Obama announces that we should not talk about?

Just add that to the list:

His Wife

His (typical white) grandmother

His great Uncle (who lived with Anne Frank in the attic)

His Kids

His Pastor

His History

His Ethnicity

His Friends

His Voting Record

His  "Policies".....................

Hey, no dissing Kwanzaa, Chico.

And no mothers.

posted by TomW on May 28, 2008 at 08:14 AM

Roy, yes he said it was Auschwitz when it was actually one of the camps at Buchenwald.  I'm not sure that constitutes a lie.

posted by TomW on May 28, 2008 at 08:16 AM

Nancy, I think he meant 57 primaries.  It's not like he was sitting in an interview and insisted that there were, in fact, 57 states.

posted by TomW on May 28, 2008 at 08:18 AM

Chico, if you're going to copy other people's lists, you should at least give them credit.

posted by randomfactor on May 28, 2008 at 08:18 AM

Or that the Iranian Shiites were training the Sunni al-Qaeda.

.

Hey, Tom, did you see that Mc894's economic policy was written by a foreign lobbyist?  A lobbyist for a company whose officers can't set foot in the US under threat of indictment?

posted by ChicoEsquela on May 28, 2008 at 08:19 AM

Actually, I think Obamanation is on to something here:

"if the government gets involved in the payment for health care (paid by our taxes) we'll all be seeing lots of dead people. "

Its my list Tom

I could have typed more but why bother

You want I should give YOU credit?

posted by randomfactor on May 28, 2008 at 08:21 AM

The government's involved in paying for the war in Iraq right now, and we're seeing lots of dead people, Chico.  Another five thousand on our side by 2013 if Mc894 gets his way.

posted by randomfactor on May 28, 2008 at 10:47 AM

46.

Sorry, Chico. It just looks so much like the list from Limbaugh that came out a day or two before you started posting yours here.
