dusty1215 - > Dusty's View of Life -> The Fox News sponsored Democratic presidential debate in Nevada has been cancelled
The Fox News sponsored Democratic presidential debate in Nevada has been cancelled
Ok, this won't make some folks happy, but here it is..

Do to overwhelming pressure, the Democratic party bowed to pressure demanding that Fox Noise..er News not be allowed to host the Nevada debates.

"The Nevada State Democratic Party is pulling out of a controversial presidential debate scheduled for Aug. 14 in Reno and co-hosted by Fox News, according to Democratic insiders.

The debate was being hosted by Fox News Channel and Fox News Radio, the Nevada State Democratic Party and the Western Majority Project."

FOX News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes gave the progressive activists more ammunition on Thursday when he jokingly compared Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, the junior senator from Illinois, to Osama bin Laden.--THAT will always make friends and influence people..ya know?

What took the Nevada Dems so freakin' long to bail out? It was apparent to all that the plane was doomed from the start. It was cobbled together using plans drawn by an idiot-savant, built by sadomasochists with no seatbelts (and no seats, for that matter) and nothing but hooks to hang the bodies from the ceiling, and piloted by escaped patients from an institution for the criminally insane. The fact that Air America offered to paint their logo on the tail section was a great piece of voodoo, really. One of those "it's such a crazy plan, it might just work" moments that we don't get enough of in modern politics/media these days. I was happy to read that Richardson hit the silks as it was nosing earthward, but I'm not entirely confident that he wasn't pushed out by one of the AA folks that was listening to the voices in the cockpit. It'll be nice to see what the talking heads over at Faux make of the crater it left when it augered into the ground. Lots of hand-wringing and tales of Fear and Craziness, I'm sure. Clinton loses points for not saying something about the general un-airworthiness of the craft. Obama gets double-negative points since the decision should have been that much easier for him. Edwards gets props for saying it, but only on the scorecards of those with their ears in the blogosphere. Hopefully this event will kill any chance that Faux will have to claim legitimacy and media credentials this election cycle.

LOL..I went on their site as recently as Tuesday and they were saying they had LOTS of support from their constituents..guess that dropped off rather quickly..

Mattloch..they will get their election credentials..come on..but whether they deserve them as journalists is another story isnt it?

They deserve credentials as much as Jeff Gannon did. If that happens to mean the bar is set way too low, so be it....

You can knock Fox news all day but there are sure a lot of people watching them!  They are still the # 1 rated cable news show and not far behind the three liberal media TV stations.  And just as an aside with the hiring of a Clinton friend at CBS we can put to rest the idea of maybe label,  liberal, they are now for real far left far out liberal at CBS!

Right don..thanks for the 411. Are you blind or just a fan of extra-huge font as a means of communicating your opinion?

Blind-almost........

Rick Kaplan a failure at two net works, MSNBC and CNN was hired by CBS to produce the Evening New.  He is so tight with the Clinton's that when he visited the White House,  whenHillery asked Bill what time it was , she had to tap Kaplan on the shoulder and ask him to stop snoring!

If your sight is bad, then I totally understand. Thanks for clarifying that. On CBS..their ratings are better than the 24/7 cable news channels..all of them, so if they are going flaming liberal..oh well, it doesn't bother me as you know :)

WIMPS.  They can't debate issues or face tough questions, so they Redeploy.....Edwards is running back to his America.  He can't stand the heat of the two Americas most people live in......

Anon, ..thanks for your pov, no matter how ridiculous it is. Edwards not appearing had nothing to do with the decision. It was the made do to the  rush of complaints from registered Democrats and just people in general...you know, public opinion.

But don't let the facts get in the way of your pov..please, by all means, keep dreaming the dream.

Wasn't it Obama who, a few months back, started a Fox boycott? He grants interviews to everyone but them. I love it!

Do you suffer from FD? Who doesn't have episodes in this hectic world we live in today?

FD can occur for many reasons. Failing site is one. But please don't believe that playing with your "Palm Pilot" will lead to blindness. Respected urlogists around the globe have determined after many peer reviewed studies that this is just a  wive's tale. But if you have doubts, instead of playing Steve Canyon in front of the monitor, do what 'Family Values' inventor Newt Gingrich suggests to keep your Pilot on the DL. Marry your High School Teacher a year after you graduate, then simply have an affair when your interest wanes. If that doesn't portray your scruples in a good light, get married again but certainly relieve life's little stresses as the moral compass of America by having another affair while telling your cancer stricken 2nd wife., you want a divorce.

The other major culprit for FD is, of course, anger at having no facts to back up your claims. Many people cling to the belief that the loudest one wins. These victims usually come from large families where yelling was the primary method of communicating. Or perhaps they are ignored at home, and don't have it in them to confront their loved ones for their perceived lack of respect, and use their keyboard as a blunt weapon of destruction in a rant with strangers who don't enjoy their political views.

But now there is help for FD, commonly known as Font Dysfunction. For $99.95, you can have your fonts adjusted so that you can only use a 16 font on your high end, and, to calm your soul, only have Comic Sans as an option in font type. And that's not all! We'll throw in a free adjustment where the red fonts are replaced with soothing greens and blues. We've had a very successful rate of cure.*

Soon you'll be happily typing away, comparing Clinton when Bush is brought up, but in a calm, joyful, manner that might make you think a liberal could...possibly...have a point. Order Today! Operators are standing by,  or you can log on to www.palmpilotrehab.com
