I just came across a neat tool.
HealthMap.org plots global disease alerts on a worldwide map. It gets feeds from the World Health Organization, Google News and ProMED, among others, and specifically tracks dozens of diseases, like avian influenza, West Nile virus and HIV/AIDS.
The United States has a flurry of update flags on it, but that might just be because the U.S. media tracks health more than press in other countries.
At the moment, Bakersfield isn't pinpointed.
Other flags in California give links to news about West Nile virus in Los Angeles, salmonella and bovine tuberculosis north of Fresno, norovirus outbreak in Santa Rosa and hepatitis C out of Sacramento.
They should put Valley Fever on Bakersfield.
Well indeed a great information .. i never knew that a site could generategreat information for disease alert. So incompetitive there must be more sites that gives more useful information.
