TV Shows affected by the Writer's Strike and some new shows coming out!
So, you may have noticed since the writer's strike that alot of shows have disappeared and at this point, we don't know when they will be back. You may say this is old news but I still wonder about specific shows and what there is to watch on TV now! I know my DVR up until the couple weeks has had nothing to record!

Here is a list of some of the shows that are affected but not even close to all of them:

 Desperate Housewives

 Grey's Anatomy

 Private Practice

 Pushing Daisies

 24

Bionic Woman-May not return at all

Gossip Girl

The New Adventures of Old Christine

The Office

Private Pratice

Saturday Night Live

How I met your Mother

Family Guy

and much more!

Keeping in mind I love reality tv but will try to add some others. Some new shows that are starting soon or have just started are:

Scott Baio-46 and Pregnant: In the season finale of Scott Baio-45 and Single, Scott decided he is ready to marry his girlfriend, Renee but boy, does Renee have something to tell him! Minutes after he says his decision after all the fear he had with just committing, she tells him she is pregnant and that is where the story ended. In this new season, they show Scott's immediate reaction to the news-he yells and freaks out, steals a catering truck and breaks into his country club! Then he calls an emergency meeting with his friends at 3:30 in the morning so he can continue to freak out. That was just part of the first episode and I think it is great. Over the season, it will show him going to Daddy-to-be classes, the Doctor to see the baby and all the things he needs to do to get ready to be a Daddy! -VH1 Sundays at

Prison Break-This show premiered last night, Monday 1/14 at 8:00 pm on FOX! I think it has around 5 episodes before it will be affected by the writer's strike.

Americal Idol, starts tonight 1/15 at 8:00 pm and is on every Tuesday and Wednesday!

Celebrity Rehab starts on VH1, this Thursday 1/17 at 10:00 pm!

My Fair Brady-Maybe Baby?-VH1, this Sunday, January 20th at 10:30 pm.

The Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles-Mondays on Fox at 9:00 pm. I believe it has run two episodes so far!

October Road has been back for a couple weeks!

Paradise Hotel, which is a reality show but used to be my favorite one, is coming back February 4th after being off the air for around 5 years.

Big Brother is coming back early because of the writer's strike...February 12th.

Boston Legal's new season starts tonight, 1/15 at 10:00 pm.

Those are just a few of the shows!

BBC America is running the series finale of Life on Mars in the next few weeks; maybe they'll rerun it soon. They're also going to start running Doctor Who season three (already seen on SciFi, but still good) and they'll have Torchwood season two soon.

Isn't Lost coming back soon? And I think Battlestar Galactica will be back soon.

So, there you go. Good shows.

(I'm about halfway through season three of Babylon 5 on DVD myself. And I got Twin Peaks for Christmas. Also, there's always the three channels of C-SPAN we're lucky to have here.)
