Are you rushing out to see Snakes on a Plane?
If you haven't been involved in the Intenet buzz, you've at least seen the commercials for the movie Snakes on a Plane.
It opens Friday in Bakersfield. This is been a very hyped movie. The Palm Springs Desert Sun put it this way: But few could have guessed so many years ago what kind of hype this silly concept would spur by its opening day. As the online furor surrounding this slithery thriller has raged, leading up to its Friday, Aug. 18, premier — the movie studio recently announced it would not be screening the film for most critics, meaning Web speculation has only intensified in recent days. A devout legion of Snakes fans have already made it the underdog movie sensation of the year. Yet many people are still only learning about the film’s unlikely origins on the World Wide Web. It all started on a blog, when early rumors of a Snakes script were posted on a forum run by screenwriter Josh Friedman. Then came the news that star Samuel L. Jackson had signed on, and the even more surprising news that New Line Cinema had agreed to bring back the film’s original title (after switching it temporarily to Pacific Flight 121). All this was enough to send online movie fans scrambling to share the news with their friends that Snakes on a Plane was not just a hilarious myth but in fact a real film coming soon to a theater near you.Well, I did see the commercials and this one is not on my to do list. I don't go watch movies about rats either. But what about you — will you be in the theater so you can see on the big screen just how heart-pumping snakes dropping from the oxygen mask bins can be? O M G i saw 12 minutes of this TERRIBLE flick !!! i am ashmaed to admit that ! after the chick got bit on her nipple, and then the guy got bit on his penis, that was all we could take !! (not that we were offended, it was just THAT dumb) it makes me wonder if the entire making of the film was a hoax and joke, to see if people would ACTUALLY pay to see this crap! hahhaahaha posted by

Go to www.snakesonaplane.com . Has anyone gotten that phone message promoting this movie? It's hilarious. You and type in the information. It will call someone you know and personalize a message to them telling them to go see the movie. Great fun !!!!
As for the movie itself? Ain't no way I'd plunk down 8 bucks or so to see something that disgusting. I hate snakes so it would just give me the creeps. posted by
