Blogs are too serious, although at times, i too get wrapped-up and irate at certain blog topics ....  recently i have been trying to lighten-things up...

No matter what religion, or political party we are with, what our incomes, or professions, we ALL have some-sort of sense of humor !

WHAT makes you actually laugh?

NASA's mission to bomb the Moon

NASA will tomorrow launch a spectacular mission to bomb the Moon. Their LCROSS mission will blast off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, carrying a missile that will blast a hole in the lunar surface at twice the speed of a bullet. The missile, a Centaur rocket, will be steered by a shepherding spacecraft that will guide it towards its target - a crater close to the Moon's south pole. Scientists expect the blast to be so powerful that a huge plume of debris will be ejected.

How on earth do 'we' know what kind of reaction this will cause to occur?

WILL Someone, hopefully a Rocket Scientist, please explain to me what on 'earth' is going on here? Who voted for this? Did NASA get permission from ALL the other countries that share 'our' moon, if they agree that 'we' can blow a hole into the thing?

Not to mention the expense this is costing the taxpayers.

I will admit, I am not educated in this area AT ALL, Just my own little personal opinion thinks this may not be such a good idea, and is a major waste of $$ ~ What is the end results NASA is looking for? What is the positive out come to be? Who cares what is under the moons surface anyways?

Google is great, you can google almost anything and get the answer, but it's more-fun to trade info between fellow bloggers!

When cooking, sometimes we totally mess-up a dish. Too much salt? - Add a whole potato to absorb it...

Last night, my daughter (once again) over baked her chocolate chip cookies. When she bakes those little delights ~ my husband always comments "more frisbee's on the way!"

for some reason, she constantly turns soft yummy cookies into hockey pucks. Does anyone have a 'save my dish' remedy for this?  How can you re-soften already over-baked cookies?

Any other Save My Dish ideas out there?

WARNING !  DO not order from PIZZA HUT on line !

2 months ago, we ordered pizza on-line for home delivery ~ there is a PHISHING SCAM that (seriously) sucks your c/c # FROM the pizza hut site and charges your c/c $12 per month automatically. it is called CompleteSavings

you can google complete savings scam and read all about it

they got US for $24 so far, i am having my bank open a Fraud Investigation on this issue!

Pizza Hut needs to step-up to the plate and block any form of fraud/scams from attacking their patrons!  I wont order from them anymore, plus their pizza usually sucks!

Out of 5 orders in 2 years, only 2 were delivered edible.

This past weekend there were quite a few Organized Motorcycle Events in the area ... We attended the VFW River Run Fundraiser Event in Lake Isabella. We personally saw 5 bikes down, with injuries (some major) - ambulances, firefighter/rescue, CHP  and helicopters assisting the wounded. Does anyone have any updates on how the riders are doing?

I doubt we attend events like this in the future, everyone preaches safety and being sober while on bikes, (or any vehicle...) but the VFW club had the bar OPEN and people were getting pounded by 8 a.m. !!!!  We understand and enjoy a beer on occassion too, but @ 8 a.m. and then throughout the entire day?  The evening ended with a band, and more booze - then everyone rode home?  We skipped out on all of the festivities and came home SAFE & early...

I wonder if the majority of vehicle owners in Bakersfield have received re-call notices for their vehicles?

Obviously ~ MANY Turn-Signals are inoperable and in need of repair !

One of my biggest driving pet peeves is the fact that most drivers on the roadways feel the laws ( & even common courtesy-road-rules ) dont apply to them !  Who advised them of such?  Were they a chosen group that when they received their drivers license there was a clause ( or sticker like Organ Donation ) that verified they dont have to use turn signals, or stop at STOP signs, or better yet ... BLOW completely thru RED lights?

If I were complaining about the height of my neighbors grass blades, i would be crazy...BUT driving on roadways is Certifiably INSANE, and i personally am tired of rude, ignorant, dangerous drivers.

What is your main driving pet peeve(s)? How is your morning and evening rush-hour commute going?

SAN MARCOS, Texas —  Police in Texas say a group of teenagers were trying to break into a home when a resident opened fire and killed two of the youths.

San Marcos Police Chief Howard Williams says the shootings happened shortly before 2 a.m. Friday. He says two 16-year-olds died and a third teenager was seriously wounded.

Another teen was unharmed and arrested in the shootings that were about 30 miles south of Austin.

Authorities declined to release the teenagers' identities but say the two killed were from Luling, about 20 miles from San Marcos.

Williams says police responded to a call of a home invasion and shots fired.

Authorities say the three people who were home at the time were not injured.
