I'm going to be posting after each Friday night that Our Family, or others spend some time at the corner of California Ave, and Stockdale Hwy!. Our Group is on the southeast corner, and yes we are a conservative, pro US Troops group! but we have never been politically driven in any way, we differ on our opinion of the war in general, and our involvement in it, and our leaders actions since 9-11. but generally we support the USA ! Our group is there to say! until the troops come home, we support them in what they do, they are following orders from Washington! we feel that if you dont like what your representatives in our government are doing, VOTE THEM OUT! the people who have gather on the northwest corner of the same intersection on Friday nights, are disrespecting our troops! they dishonor the wrong partys there!. plus many of them are out there gathering support for legalizing Pot! Tonight, 1-11-08.- our group was an average size of 7 people, we held US flags, and signs saying " Honk for the troops" Land of the free, thanks to the BRAVE" & " freedom, our gift to iraq". the other corner was mostly full of Ron Paul supporters, who were walking into traffic lanes to hand out flyers, and were warned by BPD to stay in crosswalks, and to stay away from vehicles while crossing, yet they continued this after the officer left! On average we get about 80-90% of favorable support, and more than half of those are very supportive! , of course we also get the kids who scream obscenities at us, and yell f_ _ _ Bush!. its hard for me personally to see Americans disrespect the Position of President, I know about free speech, but nobody thinks about what it must be like to be the President of the greatest Country on the planet!, and I'm not going to give my impression of President Bush here!. We had a young man walk up to our group, he was a Marine who had served in Iraq, he was furious with the folks on the other corner, we thanked him for his service to his country, and I wish I had thought to tell him that he and the other hero's that our country was lucky to have, served to preserve the Rights of all Americans, even the ignorant ones! One woman came across the street and handed us papers, I did not read them then, but as I read them later, my blood boiled, this woman was spreading propaganda supposedly from Iraq, stating that the Iraqi turncoat who recently killed 2 US soldiers and wounded 3 others was in fact defending some Iraqi women, and was held up as a hero in Iraq, WOW this women needs to get a plane ticket for Baghdad! she also wore an orange armband to support the Military prisoners at Gitmo!. Homeland Security needs to keep an eye on her! LOL. Well, thats my first blog on friday nights spent supporting the US Troops in Bakersfield ! Steve

I am interested in knowing how those folks that drive through the intersection on Friday nights really know what the true feelings, and intentions are for the 2 opposite corners! I will try to explain the intentions of the Patriots of this country who spend some of they're free time on the Southeast corner, in front of the Shell station. our group may have a large assortment of opinions on the decisions that our politicians have made throughout this War! BUT! we all agree on one thing, Freedom is not Free! Its not the politicians that leave they're families, and they're way of life, to protect the Freedom, and interests of our Citizens, its the Citizens! its the people of this Great Country! its our family Members, its our Neighbors, Our Friends!. some of our signs read "support our troops" Honk for the U.S troops" "Feedom is not Free" " Home of the Free, Thanks to the Brave" " and God Bless our Troops". All I know for sure is that the people that gather on the Northwest corner of the intersection on Friday Nights, do not support the U.S Troops! they are led by the world cant wait organization, and some members wear orange shirts, to show support for the Iraqi Prisoners of war, at Gitmo!. they insist they are political prisoners of our government, whom they insist are the real terrorist!. the signs I have read on the corner have been " U.S troops are the terrorists" " Bush is a liar" " Fight war with world peace" " Drop acid not Bombs" and my favorite " Smoke Blunts". a hint of the difference one might see in the 2 corners is one, has many U.S Flags, the other side had one Flag up for about 10 minutes Another question I have is, why is it that such a small group of Americans show up for a few minutes to ask for support for our troops, those defending our security! is it too much of a hindurence to soo many, to do a small thing to show this great country how much we appreciate those great Men and Women of the greatest military, and greatest country on this planet! they are there, in the sand for This Country!!. but more important is that everyone who drives through that intersection every Friday Night, knows what our corner stands for, and what the other is about!. Until our Brave Troops finish the job that was asked of them! we plan on being on that corner on Friday Nights, its such a small jester, but it needs to be done, and we are proud that we are there!. So feel free to come join us, theres actually 2 empty corners just waiting for some appriciative Americans to stand up for our Troops, no matter how else you feel! usually between 4:30 and 8:30 every Friday Night on the Southeast Corner of Stockdale Hwy and California Ave. GOD BLESS AMERICA & nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; &nbs p; ; Steve
Zach Scrivner showed his true yellow colors tonight! his vote was a lock I thought to support the Couch resolution to declare that Bakersfield will not become a Sanctuary City!. He will forever in my mind never be considered a patriot of this Country!

I would just like to know why we, as Americans seem to feel that its " unamerican" to be against Illigal's coming into this Country! What part of illigal do people not understand? Dolores Huarta, do you endorse illigal activity? now the Mexiacn trucks will be coming across the border with the blessing of good ole Uncle Sam!!! Whta wrong with this picture? How does everyone else feel about the Govenor flopping on his stance on prop 187? he now thinks he was wrong for supporting it!
