With this talk of the unsanitary conditions of our air, I thought I'd change things up by posting a picture of Bakersfield when it's doing fine.

Let me clarify a few things about this picture.

First: I promise this is Hart Park. Second, according to my EXIF data, it was taken on 12/22/05. With that in mind, let me say the following:

-This photograph was taken just before Christmas. Therefore, there was nobody around to ruin my shot.
-The days surrounding 12/22/05 may have been a particularly clean time for Hart Park, therefore there is/are no debris in the water (diapers, trash, etc).
-This photo was taken during the evening, when most of the park's already-limited amount of visitors had gone home (no cars, no dust in the air, etc).

Fact: This photograph marked the last time I was at Hart Park. Given that this was more than a year ago, the place may very well be a complete trash hole by now. However, I have several other pictures of the park from this time and it was completely beautiful. But, again, this cleanliness may just be a seasonal fad.
