Desk decorating — Just Married style

It's been a long time since I've decorated a co-worker's desk! But when our assistant breaking news editor, Chris George, was off getting hitched and honeymooning in Costa Rica, I just couldn't resist. Behold the fruits of our efforts. (Thanks to Christine Peterson for injecting the colorful bells and posters!)

Congrats, Chris!

PS .... favorite quote from him upon seeing his desk: "The handcuffs are a nice touch."

Totally cool.  Isn't it nice to have your relationship acknowledged as legitimate, your promise to another confirmed, your hopes for the future encouraged.  Congratulations, Chris. Please vote NO on Proposition 8.  I'd do it for you.

Too funny. Love the decorations.

It's too bad, though, that he has to insist on saying things like that on every blog. It irks me.

That first desk proves you have a future in desk decor!

Thanks, Jen, for such a warm welcome! It's hard to see in the photos, but she found a marvelous ball and chain to go with the handcuffs, and tied a couple of beer cans to the back of my chair, like you'd do to the wedding car. Sadly, I had to take those down quickly, lest they hamper my future employment.

Cute, and very fun. What a great thing to come back to work to.

Note: the beer was not consumed on the premises. it was, however, consumed (not by me!) during the presidential debate last week.
