Graffiti update

The graffiti-covered wall at Dracena and H streets that I blogged about Monday was painted over Tuesday. But now on my way to work this morning, another tagger has hit the wall again. When will it end? Never. But I'll keep reporting it to the City of Bakersfield's graffiti hotline (32-ERASE) and Web site so at least they can stay on top of it and it hopefully won't explode like it did over the weekend.

A good ol' boy with a deer rifle could solve that problem. When one of these punks starts to paint, blow the can out of his hand with a 30.06 round.

It's not just that one building - the dentist's office and the office building on the other side of the parking lot got hit too. Oh, how I hope they're caught - and what I would like to have done to them isn't fit to print!

How about a BB gun? They have to have their back to the street and maybe even bend over!! Bingo.......................'oops sorry, thought you was something else!!'  LOL

Jennifer, you live a 7-iron away from the ghetto. What do you expect?

OB:  sure didn't used to be a "ghetto". The Oleander area used to be a "posh" area to live.  I lived on Bank Street between F and Oleander and it was a great place to be in the 50's & 60's. How sad people let neighborhood go to hell like that.

According to

Bakersfield.com's Gang Turf map

, that area along H Street is overlapped by three local gangs: Westside Crips, Varrio Bakers and Asian Boyz. Maybe all the graffiti is part of a turf war???

witter, my ex-wife used to live at the corner of Dracena and Holtby, back in the late 70's, before we got married. It was safe, quiet, and a very nice neighborhood. But that was 30 years ago. Can't say that about the Oleander area anymore.

A neighbor and I got together and set up a little ambush one night in a vacant patio at our complex...we used our paint air guns...and it was comical....did they learn a lesson-yes.....did it leave a welt like a bee-yes....did they scream like little girls-oh hell yea.....be for warned to those that has NO control over THEIR children...it's the same kind of screams when MY parents took the belt to me....it's a learning lesson....to respect others property

This is my home turf, when things pick up again the gentrification will begin again. But what part of town is safe? But there are a bunch of kids that tag I bet.

This type of activity is why I advocate neighborhood cleansing. We need the 2008 version of Charles Bronson.
