Hello everyone!

LOL, I bet that title will get some responses, but what I mean by virgin blogger is that this is my first time ever in my entire life posting a blog. So my curiosity got to me and now here I am!

My life right now is actually going really well. If you have seen my profile you're aware that I am 42 years, old. But some things that I didn't mention are that I am a recovering addict, and that I have epilepsy. Well I have 3 years + clean/sober , though my epilepsy has been a different story. Around a year and a half ago I had a Grand-Mal seizure that was killing me and so as a result they had to put me in a medically induced coma for 7 days until it stopped.  Well needless to say it really rocked my world and afterwards I was diagnosed with Expressive/Aphasia and Communicative/Disorder, both of which bothered me greately because I have always had an above average IQ and have fancied myself as an intelligent person with good communication skills. I love to hear myself talk! :) But I found myself in a situation that I could not express myself. It wasn't that I didn't know what to, or what I wanted to say, it was that I had a great amount of difficulty accessing the words to actually say it. Sort of like a computer that is locked up. It has the information, it just can't access it.

So blah, blah, blah, through a great amount of reading, persistance and a great amount of grace, I have made huge progress in my recovery back to my original state of mind. So besides the fact that at the present time I live off of less than $400 dollars a month, and am dependant upon the state for help with food and medical care. I am on my way back to independance and have a good attitude towards life and the future.

Oh yeah and Monday, I start college for the first time in my life. I'm going to be studying for my A.A. degree in Humanities.

That's part of me. Like I said I have no Idea what or why I'm doing this, but that is part of what makes it fun. A new adventure!

John

Welcome aboard, John.  Always great to have new faces.  I also run a blog on Monday's called "New Users Click Here" so if you have a question and don't feel like posting it on another blog, that's the place.

Hope to see you continue posting on this site. I already greatly appreciate your candor and humor in dealing with tough life issues. Good luck at school, and nice to have a new voice on the pages here.

Welcome john and congratulations on your 3 years clean time. That's something to be proud of.  I to am clean and sober. Your life experiences sound like a perfect match for this site. Just be true to your self and don't wear your feelings on your sleeve and you'll have fun blogging. Look forward to your comments.

 Welcome John

Buy yourself an umbrella because sometimes the s**t hits the fan on this Webblog.  By the way, watch your language and learn to use the *.   You can do a lot of swearing with the clever use of the *.
