Cereal

One thing I noticed fairly recently is that many cereal commercials involve one or more characters attempting to steal cereal from other characters. What is up with that? We have the Trix Rabbit wanting to steal from kids. We have kids stealing from the Lucky Charms guy. There is a Cookie Crook, who steals Cookie Crisp. Even Barney Rubble is in on the act stealing Fruity Pebbles from his long time friend Fred. This is outrageous! There are few commercials that depict someone actually paying for their cereal.

So what are the cereal companies trying to say to the kids who watch their commercials? That their cereal is so good that you should want to commit a crime to get it? Nonsense!

So anyway, next time you pour a bowl of cereal, watch your back. Someone may attempt to steal it.

I'll cut out the middleman and save time by just stealing a bag of sugar : )

When I was a kid the sibling battle was over who got the junk prize. Ever check out the cereal aisle? Kids cereal is on the shelf at eye level for a child and priced higher than the other boxes.
