Joy-joy's Thoughts
Locatorsjoy is an eclectic person and as such her blog constitutes quite the variety of subjects. A lot of it is rambling, much of it is based on peer-reviewed empirical studies, but most of it is just observations of life as viewed through the lens of sociochemistry.

A blog about Politics.

Obama prays

Obama left this prayer at the Wall in Israel. He's an amazing man.

Lord — Protect my family and me. Forgive me my sins, and help me guard against pride and despair. Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just. And make me an instrument of your will.

When I can figure out how to upload a picture of him in prayer, I will.

Either he has public relations to pat science, or he is feeling the weight of the office already.

I'm sorry but that's the sort of prayer every family man prays.  He's made to appear very Godly but I'd be willing to bet you'd find most past presidents at the Prayer Wall too.

Seems others weren't happy about this either.

The prayer was stolen by a student of religion, who has been advised to choose another career path.

I listened to Washington Week last night(or the other one that reminds me of here but there nicer to each other,The McLaughlin Group) and a pundit with close ties to the "Jewish community" in Israel said all his contacts said the visit went well, very well. As I mentioned on another post no matter what either candidate does it seems the urge to nit pick their acts or statements simply can not be resisted.Sad.

Hey Nancy ,how do I appear? Godly or not? Just wondering>>LOL

Looks like he put more than a note at the Western Wall

What a "class" act.

Don't know Sage, I don't see a picture of you in a yarmulke standing at the Wall of Prayer.  Put one up and I'll let you know.  ;-)

LOL~ me too! I like you Nancy but frankly ,and in no disparaging way at all,my relationship with That Which Can Not Be Named is mine and its/his/hers to judge. As is Obamas.

I agree Sage, too bad the candidates public relations don't agree.  Too bad that nosy reporters feel that's everyones business.  For all we know people could be making up their shopping list while their head is bowed.

Nancy the Rabbi in charge of the sight said that was indeed a gross violation of privacy and I am thinking also of the sanctity of the act and site.  I am just curious can anyone worship at the Wailing Wall or is it normally reserved for just Jews?

Wayfarer  here is a link that may answer your question. As it is a major religious historical site(with connections to many beliefs) apparently it is allowed.
