The desensitizing of human life.
When my mom, Dorothy Walter was killed, my family was on the receiving end of the news media. I know first-hand how painful this can be.

The desensitizing of human life by the media; when did it become okay to mock the dead? We only have one life, so we cherish every moment. When a death occurs unexpectedly, family and friends are devastated, in pain, shock and bewildered. This is not a time to see a picture of the grieving family in their saddest hour, or the gory details of what happened to their family member. The families are suffering the loss of a loved one; not until it happens in your own family, will you understand the intense sorrow of the grieving family. Where does the lack of compassion come from? What happened along the way in reporting the news? Yellow journalism comes to mind.
