True, not everybody in the world thinks of bush as American Liberals do, but then again not everybody in the world is against cannibalism either. In 2004 a poll of foreign countries, mostly those that are democratic, had 8 out of 10 polled people preferring Kerry over Bush. And Kerry had about as much appeal as Fred Gwynn. That was 2004, whattaya think that poll would show now? In a November 2006 Poll, the Brits, our staunches allies, thought that Bush was more dangerous to the world than Kim Jung Il.

It is quite evident that although not everybody has a dim view of Bush, the vast majority of the globe does. Any sympathy gained over 911 was quickly snuffed out by Bush's tactics. The world disagrees with him on everything from Iraq, to Guantanamo, to global warming. For a while most of the animosity was directed straight at Bush, but now opinion of Americans in general has deteriorated because we have put up with him.

A lost wristwatch IS inconsequential, andof course Bush haters are going to jump on it. But what serious liberal thinks it was a ploy or a conspiracy?  Some pick pocket got him, big deal, it could have been a bullet instead, and been real news.

The lefts lack of focus on real issues? You mean like health care, global warming, the war in Iraq etc.

I guess you would have  the left focus on what's important to conservatives, like flag burning, gay marriage, gun rights, and pretending to be anti government yet having the biggest governmental bureaucracy in U.S. history.

Most conservatives now view Bush for what he is, and that's not conservative in the least bit.

whatever makes you all feel good about your bitterness and hatred. I NEVER felt that way about Clinton. I simply disagreed with how he did things. Yes..many right folks DID do teh constant bashing and conspiracy crap..I did not. When I speak of the way I see things on here I am speaking of the way I see things..Not the way anyone else may or may not see things..That's why I call it MARK'S WORLD! I choose not to lower myself to namecalling and such drivel. Not in politics or in everyday life. There is never a good reason for it. It cheapens the debate and such hogwash tends to call up the lowest common denominator. It's really no matter. Please continue to whack the president daily. Please expend as much of your energy and time as possible deriding the president. The more you do it, the less your chances for victory in 2008. While America may agree that Bush is making a mess of things(I actually agree with them for the most part)they are also sick of listening to the negative messages from the left. The left NEVER has anything positive to say about anything. They want us to believe the world is falling apart around us, which is not true. It's bad enough they hear these messages but they hear no solutions. Contrary to what many democrats would have us think, Americans are not stupid. They know crap when they hear it and the stopgap measures and unrealistic goals of some of the left folks will not lure the voters to their side come election day.

As for me, my reasons for despising Bush have nothing to do with the Iraq war.  (And, it's not necessary to be "left" to despise him.  Simply being a libertarian or a classical conservative is sufficient.)

Never have I had a president who had such absolute and total disregard for people outside of his catered "base."  If you're not part of his "base," your opinions count for absolutely nothing -- he won't consider a word you say -- and his answer to your plight would be "hit the road, you nobody."  If you're not part of his base, you're not even in the census in his eyes.

Every past president in my lifetime has at least put on the appearance of representing and serving all Americans.  This jerk doesn't even try to take into consideration the 87% that are outside of his so-called base.

I dunno Mark, what's more realistic, leaving Iraq, or fighting their civil war that we started?

There are 3500 real good reasons to despise this President, and I'm not one of those guys that jumped on the 'lets get out' bandwagon over the last year. I'm one of those guys that thought from the get, "We were attacked by religious zealots, so now we attack the only middle eastern regime that ISN"T run by religious fanatics?"

But I do agree that both sides of the aisle aren't getting much done. And I also think your right that if the Dems don't take some action, the election might not be as etched in stone as people think.. Remember when George I seemed a lock for re-election after Desert Storm?

On a more light hearted note, there is a rumor flying around that Ryan is not eligible for Fresno State and that he may end up at B.C. Although I would personally love to see him play here in town, especially considering that the Gades will be National Champion contenders, I'm hoping this is just a rumor and that he's good to go for the Bulldogs. If it is not true, please let me know so I can squelch the rumors.
