Acorn Under Fire
Well, here is an article that should get conservative hearts beating happily. Please note that the vote to defund was almost unanimous. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0909/27208.html

I'm not. The mainstream media chose to pretend the corruption wasn't happening until it could no longer be ignored or explained away. Why whould they now admit to thier complicity by covering the reality of what is happening, and why whould those who still believe it is some right wing conspiracy choose to comment on it?

Well, it has been all over the news (all channels) this morning, watched it during my workout. It is on Huffington Post and Politico and I am sure Fox is playing it up because they are the ones that set up the sting.

How did Fox get the Acorn workers to break the law?  Did they pay them?

Ron, you know that is not what I said. The sting was set up by Fox. The workers broke the law on their own and Acorn is justifiably paying the price. Do not deliberately misconstrue what is said.

Pike, other than Ron's post making a pretty good point, it was not Fox that set up the sting.  They know who did it from the beginning, and have been naming them.  I don't watch fox, I don't listen to talk radio, I don't watch the cable channels, I happened to see it on my Google home page and looked around for more info, it is interesting that nobody else is really touching it.  Seems odd.

Fox "news"  making it up as they go along.  More proof of the desperation on the right.

Every new tactic reveals more of their moral turpitude.

How are they making this up?  Wasn't their funding pulled?  Why would they do this if it was made up.  This one can't be swept under the rug.  Maybe it's the desparation on the left that they would ignore such an abuse.

Dad, as I said, it is not being ignored, all over MSNBC this AM, look around my friend.

NPR  reported on this Yesterday.  http://www.npr.org/template...

FOx news did NOT have anything to do with setting up this sting, that shows how desperate the left is, even when corruption at this level is so ugly, all you want to do is blame FOX?, who is the only reponsible news organazation who has reported on this from the begining,  look what Jon Stewart has to say about this, and he is as left as you can get!

They showed some of the footage on The Daily Show last night. What I saw could hardly be considered corruption. What it looked like was somebody trying to give (bad) tax advise, and I would be surprised if they didn't say that it was not legal advise (of course that wouldn't be in the video). They showed some goofy looking skinny white kid that was supposedly a pimp. If that really was the guy in the "sting" I'm pretty sure they didn't take him seriously anyway. It doesn't matter though. The 2 workers gave the horrible advise and got fired for it. Of course it should be noted that when they attempted to do the same thing in ACORN's Philladelphia office, they called the police on the phony prostitute and pimp. I imagine some of the other offices aren't staffed by fully trained workers and are usually located in very poor areas. The 2 conservative activists in disguise attempted the sting in many different cities, and only got 2 to make fools of themselves. Should the whole organization be condemned just because 2 people gave bad advise to an obviously phony pimp? Really?

We all know the reason conservatives hate ACORN is because they mainly sign up people that vote for the Democrats.

UPDATE,

In a press release, ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis says, that as “a result of the indefensible action of a handful of our employees,” the group will immediately stop accepting anyone into ACORN office for service programs, will conduct in-service training of staff, and begin an audit “to review all of the systems and processes called into question by the videos,” to be conducted by the group’s Independent Advisory Council.

The Council includes many prominent Democrats, including the man who helped President Obama Transition Team, John Podesta, President and CEO of the Center for American Progress; former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend; Andrew Stern, International President of the Service Employees International Union; and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros.

Well, that group should really get to the bottom of all this, ACORN should lose all funding now period

Seen this one?

Do you expect republicans to step up and help train them? Bwahahahahaha.

Actually it sounds like they might get their act together a bit more. That's a good thing.

So, Pete, you feel that all is fine in the ACORN world huh?, do you know that they have already said more videos are coming out?,  how many videos and how many people does it take for you to admit they are a corrupt organization? voter fraud, rampant corruption, what will it take for you? have you seen this video from San Bernadino?, is this also not proof of corruption?

Pete, you sure got that right about ACORN signing up Democratic voters (hundreds of thousands of them fraudulent, by the way). And as a nonprofit receiving millions in tax dollars since its inception, it wasn't supposed to be so blatantly partisan.

And you really think Fox was behind the sting? Try telling that to the young stingsters who paid for the whole thing out of their own pockets: http://www.nypost.com/p/new...

Good luck with the retraining.

The stings they have shown on TV so far. Four different locations! People from Acorn are getting fired right and left. Not just these undercover reports coming out, but hundreds of voter fraud arrests. About damn time! The media rather focus on perverts than uncover fraudulent activity taking place with tax payer dollars. This sure doesn't say much for the likes of Dateline, 60 minutes, 20-20, etc. Investigative Reporting. What a joke!

If this group had been carrying on the same activities for Republicans, it would have been taken down years ago. The media is as dirty and incompetent as our politicians. Isn't no wonder they have intentionally kept their heads in the sand.

The era of mainstream media is over. They have proven they cannot be the fourth branch of government.  THe truth will no be deliverd by bloggers and websites.  ABC, NBC, CBS news organizations are on their deathbed.  They have lost all of their credibility.
