Is David Couch running?
I finally got David Couch to give me a straight answer on whether he's still planning to run for District 4 Supervisor next year now that incumbent Ray Watson has announced he plans to run again.

Well, sort of a straight answer.

"I don't have a good answer for you yet," he said. "I have to thread the needle on that answer."

Sounds like a resounding maybe to me.

He looks like he could stand to do a little cardio.

Couch should run. (and I don't mean around the block)

There are a lot of us that would back him against Watson.

That board could use some "straight talk" on there for a change.

There could be some big bucks behind David trust me. And big bucks it will take to overcome an incumbent in ANY Kern County postion -- even supervisor. Half a mil wouldn't be out of the question.

Kern likes its incumbents. Look at Maples.

Of course he always lived by the credo:

"You can screw up half of what you work on in any given AV year. You can "correct" it next year. Just don't screw up the same half two years in a row!"
