Ted Kennedy's shocking diagnosis
People have very strong feelings one way or the other about Ted Kennedy, but it's hard to know what to say about today's news he has a malignant brain tumor. Anybody want to share what they think about him, his career and now his diagnosis?
Here's the latest from the Los Angeles TImes:
Sen. Edward Kennedy diagnosed with malignant brain tumorA biopsy was performed to determine the cause of the seizure Kennedy suffered over the weekend. As tributes from politicians of both parties pour in, doctors say he is 'in good overall condition.'

No one stirred my feelings of idealism and public service as John Kennedy. His violent death followed by Robert Kennedy's was a tragedy for the country as well as the Kennedy family. Unfortunately, I never gave Ted Kennedy the credit for measuring up to his two brothers. Perhaps that is unfair. Nobody else measured up to the attributes of the two Kennedy brothers. Considering the tragedy that has been inflicted on that family, an elder statesman diagnosed with a tumor is almost a relief. 45 (or about that) years of devotion to serving the country is a lifetime career of public service. Ted Kennedy and his family have my sympathy and respect. posted by

Ted Kennedy had more influence on American policy in the last 40 years than some presidents did. He's a powerhouse in the senate and his influence will be sorely missed by those advocating liberal causes. posted by

As far as I'm concerned Teddy the Drunk was himself a malignant tumor on the body politic. The big question is, what will kerry and the rest of the lib nitwits do now that ted won't be there to tell them what to do and how to vote ?
