Let me mention that Pax is full of baloney again with his most recent posting:

Indeed, Wayfarer, and the same can be said for Ann Coulter, who, in addition to announcing the halftime score of 49 million to 5, reminds us that the same church that Tiller went to is the same one that the notorious BTK killer went to: http://www.wnd.com/index.ph...

What's that they say about birds of a feather again ?

Apparently Pax's point is that Lutherans are killers (wonder what church St. George Tiller's assassin went to).  He's allowed to slur Lutherans because neither nor Buffoo are that particular flavor of Christian, I guess.

Oh, and let me add in passing that Coulter's full of baloney as well.   And the sun rose this morning, and water is wet...

So, is it *ALL* Christians who should be suspect, or just Lutherans, Pax?

Cracks me up that the Dems won the election and just can't let it go.  From the way they go after Cons, you'd think they lost.

It's the best thing tho, they'll want to get a head start for the next electon.  Your shining candidate will have lost a lot of his luster by then.  In fact, his halo is slipping already.

What's this I hear about him touting his muslim roots while in the mideast?  What's that word I'm looking for?  Ummm..lets see..oh yeah, expediency...your word of the day.

Dril took care of the wailing part. Allow me the privilege of providing the gnashing of teeth part, something we can expect to see often from the groupies amid the political fallout caused by The One Who Is Above All and Thus Sees No Need to Prove His Eligibility to Lead Us Into Ruin:

The democrats whined for eight years, are STILL whining, and have the gall to complain because conservatives(or anyone else)are disgruntled? Of course they do! The system of double standards refuses to die a respectful death.

Oh, I made dril cry...

Won't be the last time.

No comment on Pax's theory that Lutherans tend to be killers?

Plenty to whine about Mark, and just because the last Admin is over, doesn't mean the effects of it won't be long lasting.

Seriously, did you think Obama was going to fix everything in 4 months? The only one calling Obama the Messiah are the conservatives in a mocking fashion. IF he can fix the mess, it will take at least one term. IF he does not fix it, the conservatives have a chance to take it back. Unless of course if they continue the same failing tactics they are using now. Like birth certificates, lapel pins, hand over the heart, and Muslim backgrounds, etc.

But I do support your right to go after ANY admin that is not performing. Unfortunately your insinutating Obama is a failure when he's just turned the first corner in a Mile run.

Nancy, not only did we win the last two elections, we plan on winning the next two as well.  And the Repubwhigans are doing their level best to help us.

Of course republicans will win the next election. As soon as they can figure out a way to keep the membership from shrinking, they'll come up with a winning campaign strategy.

Actually RF, if you count all the special elections we've won the last dozen or so.

Not only did the Repugs lose in the last two general elections, they've lost EVERY special election in between 2006 and 2008.

I just love the Limbaugh ads in the Californian's print edition. "Hail To The Chief" with a picture of the drug addict.

As long as the conservatives make him their spokesman, they will continue to bleed members and lose elections.

I have to take a bath~ I just read 10 sentences of Coulter. UGH...

We can't let "go" but your post turned into a anti President Barrack Obama rant~ and no comment on this "killer Lutheran" Church.

Well I have a comment, but again it is a TOS violation.

Ludicrous. That should be okay.

Yeah, Pax never did answer my question about what he's got against Lutherans.  Aside from the obvious Protestant Reformation thing, of course.  Some folks just can't let go...

Just finished reading the speech by President Barrack Obama ,over at, and it is worth the time to actually read the words.I am sure the sound bite heads are having a hay day with a sentence or two.

But for those with more depth than a petri dish will find it worth their time.

It turns out the FBI in Kansas was warned about Roeder by the clinic for years, including the day before he murdered Tiller, and did nothing.

And those questions are only getting louder. Last night, the abortion clinic worker who had provided that tip went on MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Show, where he laid out Roeder's various efforts to vandalize the clinic -- starting in 2000 and culminating the day before Tiller's murder -- as well as the detailed information that the FBI received about the incidents.

http://tpmmuckraker.talking...

And the most damning part:

On the morning of the 30th, the day before Tiller's shooting, Roeder returned. A staff member saw him gluing the back door of the clinic. She chased him away, and he fled, yelling "baby killer." She noted his license number, and told Pederson about the incident. He reported the incident to the FBI, making clear that this was the same person as had vandalized the clinic the previous week. In response, the FBI said that in order to take any action to stop Roeder, they'd need to convene a grand jury and get a warrant.

In the same segment, Maddow also points out that a specific federal law, the FACE Act, makes it a federal crime to intentionally damage the property of an abortion facility. It would appear that the FBI had been given evidence -- tapes, witness interviews, a license number -- indicating that Roeder had repeatedly done that. The FBI also knew that Roeder had been arrested in 1996 for having bomb-making parts in his car, and had past ties to violent extremist groups. And yet, prosecutors charge, Roeder was left free the following day to shoot Tiller at close range in church.

There's also a larger story here, which involves what appears to be a sharp drop off, during the Bush years, in efforts to enforce the FACE Act and otherwise to ensure the safety of abortion providers.

Since many seem to be stuck on a "let's bash RF/Dems" trend, let me address the topic of the post. It is no more right to bash another religion just because you happen to be a different denomination in that religion than if you are not of that religion at all. Truly, many of you are showing pathetic behavior in bashing RF/Dems instead of addressing this point.

That's because the pro-life cowards are only violent when they're out of power.

They see Republicans as friends to their cause, even though Repugs don't do much for them, so they see no reason for violence when a Repug is in the oval office.

It's a simple concept really.

posted by randomfactor on Jun 4, 2009 at 02:08 PM

They're cornered, and losing.

The last killing *WAS* during Clinton's administration.  But as noted above, Clinton *ALSO* backed them into a corner with FACE.

And there was an attempt (bomb found and defused) last year which might easily have killed.  We've been lucky against the locally-grown terrorists...until Sunday.

During the Shrub years the anti-abortion terrorists mostly used arson.

I should have said they don't commit murder when a Repug is in the oval office.

Pro-life terrorist acts during Bush's administration:

June 11, 2001: An unsolved bombing at a clinic in Tacoma, Washington destroyed a wall, resulting in US$6000 in damages.

July 4, 2005: A clinic Palm Beach, Florida was the target of an arson. The case remains open.

December 12, 2005: Patricia Hughes and Jeremy Dunahoe threw a Molotov cocktail at a clinic in Shreveport, Louisiana. The device missed the building and no damage was caused. In August 2006, Hughes was sentenced to six years in prison, and Dunahoe to one year. Hughes claimed the bomb was a “memorial lamp” for an abortion she had had there.

September 13, 2006 David McMenemy of Rochester Hills, Michigan crashed his car into the Edgerton Women's Care Center in Davenport, Iowa. He then doused the lobby in gasoline and then started a fire. McMenemy committed these acts in the belief that the center was performing abortions, however Edgerton is not an abortion clinc.

April 25, 2007: A package left at a women's health clinic in Austin, Texas contained an explosive device capable of inflicting serious injury or death. A bomb squad detonated the device after evacuating the building. Paul Ross Evans (who had a criminal record for armed robbery and theft) was found guilty of the crime.

May 9, 2007: An unidentified person deliberately set fire to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

December 6, 2007: Chad Altman and Sergio Baca were arrested for the arson of Dr. Curtis Boyd's clinic in Albuquerque. Altman’s girlfriend had scheduled an appointment for an abortion at the clinic.

I beg to differ. I am married to one and I couldn't even get him to butcher the Thanksgiving turkey.

Sage...you and I must have gotten out of bed on that same wrong side today. And I SO agree with you about that diarrhea-of-the-mouth Coulter. I would say that she and Limbaugh should be sent to a desert island together, but they would probably multiply...scary thought.

And so is everyone else on here that dares to express an opinionBut, I have to admit that all the bashing on here based on another persons "label" is tiresome.  Wears me out.  Sticks and stones my friends...

Pity the folks who tried to spin the Tiller the Killer and BTK Killer connection made by Coulter and highlighted by myself into a "Lutherans are killers" falsity. That rings just as bad as trying to blame Bill O'Reilly and fellow pro-lifers for Tiller's slaying, something akin to beating up on Jodie Foster for appearing in a movie that caused John Warnock Hinckley to go off the deep end and prove his fetish for her by pumping some lead at St. Ronnie.

Speaking of a saint, it'll be interesting to see when the pope will canonize Tiller considering the way the media are treating him as some kind of angel -- and I don't mean the "Angel of Death" aka Josef Mengele.
