Because the Little Sheriffee in this county has an overcrowded jail, this piece of crap will only serve 3 months ... and then he will join the thousands of county inmates that get released early.  Because of his crime and who is his,  he will probably spend his time locked up in protective custody status.  If they put him at the Minimum Facility,  it is likely he will likley get to practice his oral sex techniques on a nightly basis. As a convicted felon and registered sex offender he will never teach again.  Hope his fling with his student was worth it ..

As usual, the verdict is really harsh here on the posts. I feel bad bad for the guy. He definitely made a big mistake, but to be listed as some deviant sex-offender for the rest of his life with no chance for a job again is harsh enough. This guy will now be lumped together with real pedophiles and no one will know the difference when viewing the webpages of  America's Most Creepy. The "little girl" who performed the service on this man, gets to skate away as the victim to an event and situation she helped create. It is ironic in America that teens who commit violent crimes are regarded as adults, but teens who commit the crime of being sexually active are children. 

Adam guess you never had a daughter in high school ...   this guy was in a position of trust ...  the last thing parent's should have to worry about is to have their child's teacher scheming to get in their kid's pants ... he deserves what he got..

JustcallmeBlood, I believe the teacher deserved to fired! I believe some punishment was in order. I don't believe he needs to be labeled as a sex offender, with what that means in society today. I also believe the young female deserves to be held accountable in some regard. I don't know all the sordid details, but from published accounts on this site much of the instigation for this episode started with her behavior. His culpability rests in being an adult who failed to be responsible in his position. He did not say no,  and deserves the penalty box, but should the penalty box be a lifetime in the shadows labeled as a deviant and without the possibilty of work? I can read that many here think so.

Little facts like this county being a leader in the state for both teen pregnancy and STD transmission should tip off a number of parents that hanky panky is going gangbusters in the neighborhoods here. Also, one has to only observe for one time in a restaurant holding a prom evening what many young ladies in town put on display with "gowns" only Britney and Paris could endorse. Given the test score results from students in this county, even compared to just our mediocre state wide averages, I would hazard a good guess the involvement of parents with their kids' studies and lifestyle choices is minimal for most kids in town. 

And no, I did not raise daughters. My wife and I raised two sons who we put through college and who live in Northern California.

Odd that people would speak so carelessly about another individual without having any personal knowledge of what went on. I know the offender. Who am I speaking of? The person is alone and isolated. They felt apart from their surroundings. They felt it necessary to accept the advances of someone they knew they shouldn't. They made a mistake that will shape the rest of their lives in ways they never could have imagined and they are likely to despair the choices they made for the rest of their lives.

Vulgar anecdotes about this person, either person, diminish the issue. The offender was wrong. Give it the credence it deserves and refrain from trivializing the abhorrent behavior committed.
