The To say that this “raw reports” serve no purpose other than to inflame the racial and economic divide is a generous copout. But that is OK, free publicity for the right people, more business from advertisers, and the knowledge that they have given the lower economic and a certain sector of the population another reason to hate each other and remain very Christian while they create news and fuel controversy. Thanks Californian. posted by

This from you? About a generous newspaper who lowers themselves to print your letters to the editor and allows you to post on their blog? Oh..by the way, when it comes to haranguing the newspaper by name, the "N" key is your friend. (first line.) posted by

Again, I must really be naive, since I don't see how this reporting could inflame anyone. It's just listing arrests. Of course someone who is paranoid and always looking for boogers under the bed can find anything he wants in anything he reads as long as it suits HIS purpose............... which is to inflame. (dang..I'm having to really proof read my own post when I'm criticizing pannys. posted by

I always have a laugh at the comments, as the critics always attack the person, or the syntax or the writing style to avoid the meat of the favorite targets comment. But that is OK; the rule is when writing for idiot’s comprehension writes something they should understand write to your audience’s level of incompetence. By the way I would never expect most of the bloggers here to understand, they are too busy pushing their own agendas to notice anything around them to be wrong. If you are a public voyeur and racial and income level provocateur and appreciate good income building business practices, these reports are for you and that is OK. As for the Californian printing or allowing criticism who cares, they have stopped others before and that too is OK, it is their newspaper and those who share their point of view that they love to protect. posted by

Gibberish as usual. ..I asked if anyone had any stats on how many innocent people are in jails or prisons. (culvers comments) and I'd like a number on how many arrests there were for people living in any of the Oaks. Or in Park Stockdale (very middle class..not wealthy). In Oildale? How about residents of Rosedale? Where is the crime taking place? Where are the drivebys taking place? Who's doing the drive bys? Who are, primarily, gang members? Where are the gang "turfs?" We have one black woman on here who admits she won't live in the "hood." Even to the point that (she said) if she felt her kids were in danger at grandma's house she wouldn't take them there. That's suggesting a concern. Why are you so convinced that all Hispanics are downtrodden and singled out for arrest? If a crime is committed there should be an arrest and if, proportionately they are HIspanic who's fault is that? Mine? The cops? All you ever focus on is the negative side of people..I've never once heard you say anything good about anyone including Hispanics or Blacks who are law abiding, good, decent people. If you want to defend the crack selling, gang banging, thieves then go for it. But unlike you, I will never defend ANY criminal and I don't care what color their skin is. One last thing (for now because I know you'll come back with another round of gibberish) arrests are public record. Whether or not the Californian published the names, people can still look them up. If you, or any of those criminals are so upset that their names are in the paper, they might consider not doing the crime. By the way, I know one of the ones listed above and he is a repeat offender. Not singled out other than that he broke the law....again. posted by

Of course you sweet lady do not make this stuff up, but you do use it to promote your percieved "superiotiy and over all these “others”. One of those who in public is soo good but in private hides those magazines between the mattresses. You voyeur mentality and your believe that some how you are better than these less desiring vermin is commendable by those for who you carry their water, and that is ok anything else would not only be an insult to those with whom you work but a lapse in the departments traditional job security mode. So you want the public to know how despicable those lower income and lower racials are, so you can thump your chest is triumph, silly girl. posted by

My perceived "superiority" only exists in your mind and in your determination to make all things evil except yourself. By the way..thanks for the "girl" comment. I feel younger already. :-) posted by

I have to laugh at bluewondeful's post. To me he/she is doing nothing more than looking for soething that isn't there. I am Hispanic and found this report to be interesting and helpful. It allows me to see where the crimes are happening and by who. I have had family from both my wife's family and my own listed on such reports. Oh yeah I can mention my side of the family because they are Hispanic, sorry about that. posted by

One thing we know about Blue..as is his usual custom, he'll go on a rip roaring tear, insult everyone and their mother then get suspended again. Hey panny..why don't you use phoenix in your next name. ROFL. Witters..I'll cede my "superior" title but I'm keeping the "old bat" one. Over the last few years I've sort of grown attached to it. :-) posted by

Nancy, I'd like to address the question you asked previously about stats on innocent people in jails in prisons. I knew someone once who spent some time in prison, and he said all the while he was incarcerated, he never met one other guilty person. It seems he was sent to a prison filled with innocent people. Darnedest thing EVER! posted by
