Sneaky weasels we have up there in Sacramento.

If anything were to get me on board a tea party, it'd be this.

Not until I got a lesson in blogging from Refi guy.  I was ready to turn over a new leaf until then.

I'll get behind that.

Learem

Go through all the blogs I've ever written and list all their titles.  Then do the same for yourself, ronmexico, sioux, witters, pax, savvydude, and a few other right wing bloggers.  In the last few weeks,  I've tried my darndest to blog in a less controversial .   I guess some  people took it as a sign of weekness.

At any rate, I put my blogs up against theirs or yours any day of the week for their decency.

I could have deleted that post at any time.  I didn't because I don't believe in censorship, as I have said repeatedly over the years.   However, it wouldn't have mattered anyway because Refi guy kept a dossier of my blogs in a personal file.   Creepy!

I can post nice and I can post mean.  And I can post meaner.   The funny thing is, being nice is the hardest way to post.  That's why its so unpopular.

LOL and kma

I'll second that, Audrey.

Tell you what guys: let's see who can be positve the longest. Kind of like how long the kids can stay quiet on a road trip. I don't know any progressives/liberals who are posting hate and discontent. Yes, we can get testy when answering back some of the idiotic postings we see from the right, so as far I go, I will do my best to be nicer and more civil. Why don't you on the right try it?

You're finally right about something learem.  I don't have to justify anything to you.

But a piece of advice to anyone who's interested.    My kid gloves are off for anyone that I haven't made a personal truce with.

And those people know who they are.

I'm with you Audrey, I'm going to try the civil, sane discourse route one more time.

If that doesn't work, nasty Pogo will be in the house.

Hey refiguy, did you know Microsoft will pay you $245 for every person you forward certain e-mails to? You can make thousands of dollars doing it.

Don’t worry , since you’ve never paid any net taxes. Leave that to those with the SACK to compete in the private sector. Nothing we like better than supporting institutional socialists.

shame shame shame...i say we vote another pay decrease for them next year

And while we’re at it, let’s give our educators pay parity with actual results achieved on the tax payers dime.

Oh yeah, if we did that, they’d sue.

So what do you get with a truce?  A hug and a sloppy wet kiss???

I did not know this until I saw it on O'Reilly 2 days ago.  Our Reps in the Assemby should have given us an FYI.

I'll read blogs posted by people like Audrey with an open mind anytime.  It really doesn't matter which end of political spectrum the blogger speaking from, as long as it leads to an open dialogue without the name calling.

It's too bad these are hard to find.  It's like sifting through garbage to find the good ones.

How did this happen?  I didn't see any memo on this.  Is this legal?  Can I just walk into your bank account and borrow your money without telling you about it?  Without paying any interest?  And, you have to file a complaint (1040) to get your money back?

No more incumbents - fire everyone in Sacremento.

The payroll department at my employer sent this out last week to all employees.

Notice to Employees
Changes in California State Income Tax Withholding
As part of the recent actions by the State of California during its budget process, beginning with wages paid in November 2009, the State will require employers to withhold additional income taxes that will result in a tax increase of 10 percent. For example, if an employee's current State tax withholding is $200, under the new State law an additional $20 will be withheld so that tax withholding will become $220. The 10% increase is not applied to any additional withholding being withheld. The rates for supplemental wages will also increase to 6.6 % and 10.23% for bonus payments. These changes will be effective through December 31, 2009.
As always, please consult a licensed tax professional for any tax questions that you may have.

The line, "These changes will be effective through December 31, 2009."  makes it sound like it is only for the last two months of the year.  But I guess that is naive to think in a blue state.

posted by casooner90 on Nov 7, 2009 at 07:43 AM

Drilin, no such memo was circulated in my company (that's funny), but I was also aware that this is only for the last two months of the year.  I'm just pissed that the state can do this without a vote, announcement or an apology letter.  I still say fire everyone in Sac.

Casooner, go back and look at the budget deal from the summer. Maybe then you'll figure out how this 10% "got in". Let me give you a hint, there was a vote.
