Elemental Disruption

"Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats." Diane Arbus

My life seems to operate sideways~ backwards almost~ and I have come to see thats right for me. A rain of snakes, disruption that cause's growth ,the world split in two.Everyone has there own path, mine has been one of thought, mostly of things folks today seem to disregard. Truth, personal integrity,politeness,...not all eschew these things. For me its been the easiest way to be~ any other way leads me to more trouble..and a sense of humor, above all about myself. Laughter keeps a person sane, and I enjoy seeing the coyote in myself~ the eternal trickster

Christopher~ 1970- 2004

I was watching THE DEVILS BACKBONE  and a character delivered this fragment of a poem~ if anyone knows the author,I would love to know.

As most here know,my eldest died alone(seemingly at least) from a heart attack, crawling in the street looking for help. It was early, before his work day and thankfully someone saw and summoned help though they arrived to late.

When I heard these beautiful words, the spirit so captured what we would have said to each other given the chance, I knew of no better memorial.

Stay by my side as my light grows dim
as my blood slows down
and my nerves shatter with stabbing pain
as my heart grows weak
and the wheels of my being turn slowly
Stay by my side as my fragile body is racked by pain which verges on truth
and manic time continues scattering dust
and furious life bursts out in flames.
Stay by my side
as I fade so you can point to the end of my struggle
and the twilight of eternal days
at the low dark edge of life.

Chris~ held in our memories,always loved...till soon son. Mom~~April 2009

I intend to take a break from the blogs for a bit~ so no worries any one, but I need to recharge and retro-fit my attitude.

Play as nice ~~sage

Good morning SF.   I found this link http://mattrubinstein.com.a...  which claims the poem is (Quote) "from Canto 50 of In Memoriam AHH, which of course is Alfred, Lord Tennyson’s lengthy elegy to his Cambridge mate Arthur Henry Hallam"

Hugs to you.

You are in my prayers, Sage.

And for what it's worth, i believe no one dies alone.

Hugs and Love, Sage.

Take your time and take care of yourself.  There are lots of things to be excited about right now.  The only question is which one to enjoy first.  Treat yourself, get your groove back, and we'll see you when you come back.

BTW--That was a really beautiful poem.  Lovely memorial, and that's a great picture.

Hopefully your recharging don't take long, and the retrofitting goes well. I can certainly understand needing to take a break from the blogs. I don't know any of you personally, yet feel others pain when the verbal wars get out of hand. No need for it to get to the name calling. All adults on here I thought. Certainly doesn't sound like it sometimes. Sometimes I log on just long enough to read a few things, then think, Nope not today. The ugliness can be overwelming. I'll keep you in my thoughts, and prayers.

Sometimes I wonder if "child" and "adult" loses its meaning.

I consider myself a child, yet I am reminded otherwise each time that my AARP Bulletin comes in the mail.

I know what you mean, though.

Sage

Take care of yourself.  You're a special person.

I was overwhelmed by your generosity yesterday when you took time from your own troubles to help me with mine.  Thank You.

I hear ya. Those dang people at AARP just won't stop reminding us of our age, will they? LOL Well thank God we can continue to learn, regardless of age.

All the best Sage. You're good people, as so many here can attest.

Oh Sage, I'm terribly sorry.  He is a beautiful boy, so handsome.  My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you continue on your journey to find that balance & peace of mind.  I have a feeling that your son is with you in spirit, probably thinking right now, "oh geez Mom, why did you have to put that picture up for everyone to see?!!"  And I'm sure he knows that there are many of us blogging friends that love you.

God Bless You and Mr. Sage too.

What brought the kindred spider to that height,
Then steered the white moth thither in the night?
What but design of darkness to appall?—
If design govern in a thing so small.
