Men Who Stare At Goats
I caught wind of this film about 7 months ago and apart for those poor goats( no real goats were harmed in the making of the film) this looks like a good time. We all need a good laugh now and again. This is a link to Huffington Post video that shows the real men behind the story. Opens November 6th.

It looks fascinating, Sage. Are any of the speakers in the HuffPo video the ones who were the psychics (or whatever they called them)? I probably better read the book. If it comes out in November, it probably won't get captioned until it's in video and that usually means all the hoopla is over with by the time I see it. posted by

Sorry Ray~ these must frustrate the heck out of you. Yes the men in the video were participants in the program. I plan on reading the book myself. posted by

Thanks for the links sage. Looks funny. I think we're going to see The Informant today, and plan to see the Goats movie when opens. All the same group, you know. Clooney, Pitt, Damon...those guys. posted by

I want to see The Informant~ looks good. The bit where Clooney yells at the guy running and says" we're Americans and we're here to help you!" ...and then hits him with his car cracked me up. Clooney is a great comedic actor who gets no credit for it,IMHO. posted by

sage, if people would stop focusing on some "political" agenda they look for in his movies and just watch his performance, they would get it. He is hilarious. His comic wit and timing is fantastic. posted by

A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! It's got that sincerity-through-silliness factor I love in comedies, and four of my favorite actors: Jeff Bridges (The Dude, ; ) George Clooney, Ewan McGregor and Kevin Spacey. A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!! Thanks for the head-up, Sage. I cannot WAIT to see this. posted by

A must see! I don't have a husband, but if I did, I would leave him so fast for George Clooney OR Jeff Bridges it would make his head swim. Thanks Sage posted by

You forgot "hot". Well, bakoblue, I will admit he has some level of good looks...speaking strictly as one man evaluating another on a non sexual basis. Though I would not characterize him as "hot" per se, he does extrude a high level of manliness that some, ok, all women (and some men) find attractive. I, however, only find him fun to watch because of his acting style. My wife thinks he's hot. That works too. posted by

It's good when couples can agree on actors they enjoy watching...regardless of the reasons they enjoy watching them :-) Sellsnew --- have you seen The Fisher King? Jeff Bridges is wonderful in that movie. posted by

I have not seen Fisher King and I have a friend that is constantly "amazed" at the good movies I haven't seen. I'm meeting my sisters for a yearly get-a-way and this year I plan on bringing some DVD's. I loved Pride & Prejudice that a sister hasn't see that is already packed, now I will add this to the list. How about at least two more suggestions? posted by

As soon as I saw the ads for this movie I was ready to see it. Did you notice Jeff Bridges hair? It's not every man who can pull off that look. JB looks good in a braid. In the movie The Morning After http://www.imdb.com/title/t... Jeff Bridges' character is from Bakersfield. Jane Fonda is in this movie also. Not the best movie ever but not the worst. Interesting plot twist. Starman was a good Movie of his. I always cry when he saves the deer. http://www.imdb.com/title/t... K-PAX was good too. Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges are both in it. http://www.imdb.com/title/t... posted by
