Elemental Disruption

"Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats." Diane Arbus

My life seems to operate sideways~ backwards almost~ and I have come to see thats right for me. A rain of snakes, disruption that cause's growth ,the world split in two.Everyone has there own path, mine has been one of thought, mostly of things folks today seem to disregard. Truth, personal integrity,politeness,...not all eschew these things. For me its been the easiest way to be~ any other way leads me to more trouble..and a sense of humor, above all about myself. Laughter keeps a person sane, and I enjoy seeing the coyote in myself~ the eternal trickster

Handi~capable parking,The law and you

Channel 29 ran a item about the J*&&%#@&s who use spots reserved for those with plates indicating their need for those spots. The image of a female using the familiar single finger salute to the reporter incensed me so that I bloged about it here.A follow up report is to be aired on Thursday~please watch this night

The folks at channel 29 alerted the local police to the situation, the phone calls  the station recieved..well you'll see the results. My comment about a ready income source is apparently one shared by many.So all of you who felt so smarmmy, so above the law, forewarned is forearmed, park in spaces available to you .As you walk to and from your destinationThank whatever God(s), or none if you choose, for your range of movement!

My spouse will gladly trade her placard for their legs...

They want to be treated like equals right? They want the same opportunity's for jobs and advancement right? But we have to give them special treatment kinda like "separate but equal"? They want to be treated like equals then they should expect no special privileges!

Keep repeating that mantra as you pay the ticket...if only we had schools for better brains and hearts..ah well

No-no, anonymous. If all things were equal, it would be as easy for an disabled person to get to a shop from a further away parking space than it is for, presumably,  you and me. Putting in those disabled parking spaces is how we treat people equally. It is not a privilege, it is an equalizer.

Kinda ironic coming from an "anonymous" demanding the special privilege of not putting a face or a name with such comments, eh?

observant comment Griffon, while i wish no one ill that sort i sometimes wish they would ,"just for the day" ,have to expeience life as some must do every day.. which might enable that person to grow~both in inteligence and their heart

I'm with you sagefever; for the sorely handicapped most would trade their placards for a whole and healthy body.

Thanks Sam.. though i have heard more than one person say they would stay "as is" because of the insights their "condition" has given them or because they have seen enough twilight zones to know not to mess with reality...either way it is an equalizer not a perk for the world to be accessible
