talkofthetown - > Talk of the Town -> Prussian Blue girls like white people
Prussian Blue girls like white people
Twins Lamb and Lynx Gaede, the 14-year-old singers known as Prussian Blue, said on the Inga Barks radio show that their white nationalist views are "civilized," not extreme.

The girls who were on the show with their mother, April Gaede, said, "We don't hate people. It would be pretty retarded to hate someone because of the color of their skin."

Lamb Gaede, who did most of the talking until she deferred to her mother on Holocaust questions, said Asians are very smart and blacks are good athletes -- there are good things about all people in different races -- but they shouldn't mix.

She said it would be bad to mix into just one race, and her family is interested in preserving the white heritage. They live in Montana where there are more white people.

She said people are afraid to offend races by saying things like "that Mexican was so mean." She said it doesn't mean they are racists or haters.

The famous photograph of the girls wearing a smiley face with a likeness of Hitler said that was a "joke" during a one-time modeling session and what they intended was to upset the white nationalists, not the mainstream public.

Lamb said she doesn't believe the Germans would have used the precious resource of gas to kill Jews, although many Jews did die of illness.

That's where mom took over and disputed the Holocaust accounts as "exaggerated." She said bad things happened on all sides.

She said history is written "by the victors" and the Nuremberg trials obtained testimony "under torture." She advised people to keep an open mind.

So does this mean the family has just been misunderstood?

I don't know what to think about a mother that indoctrinates her children and then makes a living off their singing. I will give her this: She is one helluva stage mother. Channel 7 did a piece on them last night and since I am not very familiar with them I did watch to see what was said. It was mentioned that they left Bakersfield after they weren't allowed to perform at last years fair, but the girls spun it as they wanted to live around more white people.  I guess Montana has less brown and black people judging by what they said? Disputing the Holocaust doesnt get them any points with me, but I bet Mel Gibson would back their next record if their looking for funding..

When is their fifteen minutes up.  Pseudo nazi, Inga is the only local "newsperson"  with the bad sense to interview them.
Typical!

Is there a MR. Gaede that is/has also influenced the children?

What's wrong with being proud of your race?  Don't we have Black Pride, Chicano groups on campus etc?  Why would this be any different?

This paper sure loves these girls doesn't it. Seems like every few months we have to hear the same story again about. {yawns}

If you recall "Mr.Gaede" who is not married to their mother attempted to get custody of the girls, however didn't get it (go figure, shows how screwed up our court system is and how it's pitted against the dads). He used the racist views of the mother.... You can't blame him for a lack of trying, because he did.
While I am not a racist and don't agree with their thinking, but do you think that things would be the same if they were black and wanted to preserve their "black heritage"?  If they were latino?  Why do we have a "Black Ms. America" and it's okay, however if we had a "White Ms. America" it would be considered racist?
posted by ProgressivePete2 on Sep 15, 2006 at 08:39 AM
We've had lots and lots of White Ms. America's, but they don't have a separate contest. They haddn't needed to for years, they just pick the white lady. I do see what you mean though.

The problem with promoting your "white heritage" is the reasons why.  Typically, people who want to tout their whiteness do it to the denigration of non-whites.
.
There are ways to tout white heritage and/or culture in a positive manner.  Italian clubs.  Oktoberfest.  Renaissance fairs.  Scottish festivals.  There are cultural and/or ethnic activities that celebrate white things.
.
With Black heritage or Latino heritage, it's a cultural thing as much as a racial thing.  These two groups -- in the United States, anyway -- have distinctive cultures as well as racial characteristics.
.
There is a racist element within Black and Latino circles, too, and what that side of it surfaces, that does get criticized, too.

They are racists from a long line of racists. Their grandpa was a racist from up Reedley way.

Promoting your heritage is a long way from wearing Hitler T-Shirts and denying the holocaust.

Good stage mother is right though. Without the racist slant you surely wouldn't have heard their less than mediocre singing abilities. Hopefully they can break the chain of hate when they get older and wiser, but who knows.

Yeah, it was disease that killed the Jews. People don't realize that anorexia was a communicable disease back then.

It is very sad when i see a so called mother that is obviously an outcast and don't live in the same world as the rest of us here on earth. But what is really sad, is that she has now taught her own little girls to beleave what she has taught them, a form of child abuse, in the biggest way! the girls will never think for themselves, and that will make them outcasts too. don't you know just because your skin is white, you may have another race in your blood? or do you think you are 100% pure, that would make you the outcast. you had to run away from this town because you were afraid for your safety, what does that tell ya? i see a mother that has taught her girls nothing but hate, and now they will have to wonder why they spent their childhood in fear in the hometown they were raised, and had to run far away to a place that they found other just like them teaching the same to their families. i think they should all go to their own little hidaway so we don't have to deal with this kind of ignorance. there is way to much going on in the world to have to live around nutheads like these! i am white, i have 5 grandchildren 2 which are mixed black/white. 2 white. 1 mixed mexican. and each one  understands the meaning of love in all culters that live inside them. and i certainly want them to be themselves and grow to respect and find that special person that "they" fall in love with! these poor girls don't even know they were taught hate, they have been braiwashed, by their own mother.

"Lamb said she and Lynx are not racists; they merely want to preserve their heritage. April Gaede said faults among other races are genetic. She would object to her daughters marrying outside of their race, and she doesn't accept the notion that the Nazis deliberately set out to destroy European Jews. Many Jews died during the war, she conceded, but mostly of disease -- not murder. "

Exactly what is white heritage?  What is worth preserving?  I don't get it.

White heritage is a front for rascism.  You can celebrate Bastille Day, St. Patrick's Day, the Queen's Birthday, The Fourth of July, on and on, be proud of your national heritage and still not make it about race.

Inga just wanted to give equal weight to the other side.  Next week, Is the earth flat or round, we interview the experts and you can decide.
posted by anonymous on Sep 15, 2006 at 11:27 AM

The "Prussian Girls" interviewed by Inga Barks don't come off as too bright.  Obviously, they are parroting the information and beliefs fed to them by mother and other twisted adults.  It would be easy to jump on the band wagon of "hate", and hate them as white racists.  But, it would be just as wrong to hate them as it is for them to hate others.  I guess the best thing is to pray for them, and hope God shows them the light.  I know God loves them.  Often times people that are sincere are sincerely wrong.

posted by TomW on Sep 15, 2006 at 11:40 AM

Um, actually, it wouldn't.  I know we should love everyone and I just feel bad for those kids.  Mom is obviously insane (Lamb and Lynx?  Really?)  But hating someone for preaching evil is a bit different than hating someone for not being white.

posted by mattloch on Sep 15, 2006 at 11:40 AM
That level of intolerance and ignorance can't survive longer than a few generations. I would expect that if one or both twins don't eventually break from their mom's way of thinking, their (future) children will. And you can bet they won't just become moderately tolerant, either. We're talking about doing everything that their parents warned them about. 180-degrees in the opposite direction. Should be fun to watch in a "where are they now" segment in 20 years....

As for the sad state of affairs with divorce law in this country and state, and knowing absolutely nothing about the circumstances, how badly did the father have to screw up for the judge to look at him and the mom and decide the girls are better off with mom?

I'm not sure if I should be mad at the mom for putting them up like this (like the "beauty queen pageant moms"), or Inga for giving them public exposure for the sake of her own ratings. It's the kids I feel sorry for. Not angry. Not violent. Just sad. I don't think they know any better. I can only hope they have a chance to grow up and learn about the world around them, and about the true history of mankind.

How silly people act about Inga Barks, again the Casa Blanca old line, " I can"t believe there is gambling going on " applies. Inga is not an isolated case of this type of adoring behavior for white preferred causes by public personalities, there ar many in Good old Bakersfield.

The Muzio's and Inga, Jacquie Sullivan, Zack the hack, Chad Vegas and many others carry the same genes.
Inga once challenged my to her show because I criticized Jacquie Sullivans in God we trust and stated that "Jacquie" felt threatened because I had attended a few Council meetings. Another time whe was ticked off for my criticizing the Sheriffs Department's shooting policy  and her  coziness with than sheriff's candidate Wimbish.

If Inga and her behavior  was something was unsual for Bakersfield, it would be apporaiate to be upset, bu this is normal Bakersfield behavior, and protected free speech, so what is not ok about it? The reaction to the drownings in the elitest Bakersfield's back yard park and the vitrolic anti-Hisapanic rhetoric that followed is what makes Inga poplular and her group feel empowered and admired in our great City. No don't get rid of her, she makes the Christian conservative case transparent and makes Bakersfield American as country music ,  NASCAR, big trucks.

Inga was once astonished when I made the remark that more people have been killed by religion than gunpowder.

Her reply was "Give me an example of where Christians killed people". It was my turn to be astonished.

Obviously she never learned about the Crusades, or the Inquisition,  witch burning, or more recently the Serbians.

Denying that history isn't much different than saying the holocaust never occured.

Inga is a wannabe whose gladhanding is sickening to say the least. And she has no problem schmoozing up Hannity and "the Colonel". Talk about name droppers.

April and the girls have been hanging around Fresno all week with the BBC film crew. They got thrown out of one club where the girls tried to sing and a second club that April had scheduled them into cancelled them the same day. Then, they drive down to Bakersfield just for the day to do a radio interview.  April Gaede seems to have scheduled it all for the BBC crew.

Why not do it in Montana? There is an expression that goes something like "Don't poop where you eat." The Gaede/Harringtons are on thin ice already in Montana. There are many who don't want them there and if they tried a radio show or slipping into an open mike night to sing their racist bilge, I don't think it would have gone over well. So, might as well go back to old stomping grounds where it is ok if they run them out of town--they are going anyway!

I believe Inga was suckered into this interview. April got what she wanted-- her two automotons spewed their tripe-- and as Ms. Gaede knows all too well, "Any news is better than no news." And, the BBC crew is probably pretty happy with the film footage! They got the entire town's media there!

It is interesting that the girls seem to have "softened" their views. "The shirts were a joke" "We don't hate other races." "We didn't mean that there wasn't a Holocaust, LOTS of people died...Jews, Germans, Japanese, American..." I guess their first run didn't work so well with Nazi salutes and talk of Muds...maybe they've changed!   NOT!!!

Yawn,

It's just the same old tired song from the same illiterate racists.

This "family" has had more than its fair share of media attention and it's about time the media ignored them. - God knows we are more than a little bit fed up with hearing about them on the television and in our newspaper.

Why can't the media help this "family" fade into obscurity by simply ignoring them?

The downside?

If we ignore them these twins will end up like the rest of their illiterate, racist brethren:  Knocked-up by their crankster "uncle" and on welfare by the age of 17.

You know, sometimes the public just can't win!

"At first, it seems difficult to believe that the focus of the campaign is two 14-year-old twin girls. ...

..."The girls, their mother, April, and stepfather Mark Harrington recently moved to Montana from Bakersfield, Calif., after April told "Primetime" that Bakersfield was "not white enough." Now Kalispell has put the family on notice, "Not in my backyard."

"Last week a group of neighbors printed information sheets about the family and distributed them door to door.

"This letter is not written as a means to harass the family or to begin a witch hunt," the flier said. "We wish the family no harm. Our goal is to peacefully communicate that this kind of hate and ignorance will not be accepted here in our neighborhood where we live and raise our families.""

As long as these 2 dopes are not breaking the law, all people are doing is giving them more attention.  If they become "victims" they will be more in demand.  Ignore them.

Pride in your Spanish heritage doesn't mean you are necessarily proud of Cortez.

Pride in your Saudi heritage doesn't mean you are necessarily proud of Bin Laden

Pride in your Italian heritage doesn't mean you are necessarily proud of Mussolini

Pride in your Russian heritage doesn't mean you should necessarily be proud of Stalin

Pride in your English heritage doesn't mean you should necessarily be proud of Henry the VIII

And the pride of your American heritage means you can disagree with everything from hate mongering racists, to the Presidant of the United States. Thank God we are Americans.

I'm with you Curt, let them slip away into the mist of trivia. I think Idaho may be their last chance. Of course there's always Germany, but I think they would be subjected to even more ridicule there. Unless they're soccer fans.

The true "White Supremacists" are the non-whites that come to America. They feel like they cannot make it in their own land, and need whitey to take care of them, to the detriment of whitey, so they come here, to a traditional homeland for white people.

This country was founded by and for whites.

Negroes, Indians, and other non-whites were never intended to be made citizens, and we used to have laws protecting that tradition, such as the Asian exclusion act.

The founding fathers are probably spinning in their graves right now, this country bears no resemblence to the country they formed. They would immediately call for another revolution and overthrow of the government if they were alive today.

The controlled media is shaping this country into a multicultural sewer.

If you were an alien from another planet who came down here and turned a TV on, you'd think every white person in this country routinely has Negroes and China people over to their house for barbecue every weekend, or to watch the football game.

It's just plain sick, and goes against every value and tradition this once-great nation was founded on.
