Afghanistan: The new Iraq?
Is the situation in Afghanistan spiraling out of control? Following a prison attack that released hundreds of insurgent fighters three days ago and news that the May monthly death toll for allied troops in Afghanistan surpassed that in Iraq, the Associated Press is reporting that Taliban fighters have overtaken several villages in southern Afghanistan. Did we ever finish the job properly in the first place? 5 comments from 5 users

Being that we went to Afghanistan years before Iraq, and we are surging w/ more troops back to the basis of this war, it's only expected that the death tolls are in excess to that of Iraq. Iraq was the new Afghanistan....how soon we are forgetting our history posted by

All the anti American, Bush bashing rhetoric that is spewed forth by our LW lib fifth column gives our enimes the message that if they keep it up we will give up and go home. The neocommies that now run the democrat party should be proud of themselfs. posted by

spewed forth by our LW lib fifth column gives our enimes the message that if they keep it up we will give up and go home Our "enimes" got that message when Saint Ronnie pulled the U.S. Marines out of Beirut right after the barracks were bombed. They got the message again when Bush capitulated to bin Laden and pulled U.S. troops out of Saudi Arabia.
