Shark abuse

So what do you think? I have hated this event for ever. I have always been disgusted by it and thought it was cruel.  Supposed to be fun and entertaining? It's evil to do this. In my opinion it's not the sharks that need to be hanging from the hooks!.

Ya know I used to think things like this were KEWL..now with the declining numbers...definitely  not so KEWL;..However if the place this tournament is being held at is over run with sharks and this is part of the thinning process it might be a necessary evil

Fishing is fishing.  It's not illegal.

However, I'm willing to bet all of these participants drive really, really big trucks.  ; )

I like sharks, but, hey, you can't please everyone, nor should you attempt to. As for these "humane" types, they'll protest this sort of thing while wearing their brand new leather sneakers.

Yeah wearing their new leather shoes, driving big air polluting trucks, probably cut down a forrest somewhere and eating deer meat for lunch..... Dang people!

Oooops is that a mirror I see?

I am not a protester. I think protesting at these events with these half wit contestants is a waste of time.

But, it is wrong in my opinion to kill for fun and to see who can get the biggest catch just for the thrill of getting their name on the record for a year and some cash.

This isn't all catch and release ya know.

It is not necessary to make a contest of killing sharks or any animal.

I'm wearing leather Nikes, but I don't drive a big truck, I never cut down Forrest Gump, and I ate venison once, and only once. Much too "gamey" of a taste for me. I like chicken and turkey, personally, and I wolf down tuna always.

Go to the Great American Fish Company Restaurant in Morro Bay, Shark is right there on the menu and has a very high price tag, I've never had it but my kids have.  Also Octopus and many other species. All in all, it's just another fish. My kids ate em every time we went over there, I got to pay for it. ;=)))
