Well I did not find any shoe repair businesses listed to rate..?? (really wanted to find a fix it shop) It is getting to the point, where people just do not fix anything any more..so Sad.. I guess the products are sooooo cheap (in quality) not price...that for some reason folks would rather discard them, rather than fix them... (some times it costs more to fix, than to replace) maybe people just want something NEW! Just another excuse to SPEND. Only in the wrong place.   I believe I am glad that I'm on the down hill run in this life, and I hope the next time, we do it (get it) right!

Well this is not an offical listed business, but they have been doing great Q for 10 years.. If you are in the mood for Beef Ribs- Pork- or Hot Links (sometimes Chickin too) as a dinner or by themselves this is the corner to go to..[S.E.] Flower and Beale...one block East of Baker St. close to the freeway...

Hear this Ladies! This is for You...
Years ago I met (and photographed) a very Beautiful young (18) year old TALL Gal/Woman... She was sooooo self conscious about Her height, She always wore flat shoes and flat long hair, so as to not bring attention to herself.  That was so sad!



I have thought about this often over the many years since we first met. Why? Because during our time together She changed from a Dove to a Swan... (Both very Beautiful Birds, only one much taller than thee other!)

I explained to her about how Men (And Women) react to Tall Beautiful &/or Sexy Ladies, and the POWER they possess, well Command is probably a better word for this...
(Note: One does not have to be "knock down Beautiful" to be Sexy, but, Sexy can be & is Beautiful; in it's own way)

I had Her buy and wear Tall, {strappy} "High Heeled shoes" for shooting pictures, as this has a twofold benefit, it not only makes one look much taller, this also improves the curves of the legs.  Oh Yeah!

Let Me tell you! this now made Her a "stand out in the crowd" kinda Woman!
Whenever a Tall Woman enters a room, heads turn, even just walking anywhere!
Confidence = Attention - Attention - Attention = POWER... Use it very carefully!

I had thought it was "just" the power of the High Heels! BUT! Put together with a TALL Woman, WOW !!!   watch out!
A very hard combo to beat! [Special notice to shorter Women: The Power of High Heels will work their magic on you also]

SO: All you ladies that are a bit shy or bothered about your height, get out those High Heels and stack up that Hair, put a Smile on your face! and attack the World... The Rewards will astound you...

What do You think ???  Teach the young to be super proud about being tall...

Conserve this and that and that and that!
Well this had to come to OUT sooner or later... vent, vent, vent...
The powers that be, telling us to conserve water use, and all the while the City runs water all over the streets! Every time they water plants or grass in the center dividers...Daaaa  I can not believe we NEED watered grass in those dividers, If they like it GREEN, use Green cement, but the Red Brick/Block looking cement looks great!?   Why waste money watering and then cutting all that GRASS???

As far as shade trees go, (in the dividers) they need to use TRUE Drip systems, no runoff or wasted water at all. Plus the trees grow way faster with a "REAL" DRIP system.
As far as home conservation goes, one of the biggest sewer line problems comes from not enough water flow, to get "things floated" away from your home, to the main sewer lines. LOW FLOW Toilets SUCK!  Most people that have one, also have a plunger handy for all those blocked lines, what a stinky pain...My Son is a plumber and sees this all the time.
Plus; when company comes to our home, and uses the John with a quick flush, (not holding the handle down till all the water is emptied from the tank) the lines many times, get clogged up, that day!
Ever since we put up a sign asking people to hold handle down through complete flush, NO PROBLEMS! That little bit of water, will not get the job done correctly as far as I am concerned... It has proven out time and time again... 

Now if you really want to conserve water, I do not believe in filling the toilet tank with drinkable water! All the shower and sink water should be used to fill the tanks to flush the Johns.
Now if you have Kids drinking out of the toilets, I don't know what to tell you there.. hehe

Now this really gets me! They tell you not to put certain things into your trash, so it will not contaminate the land fills??? I have read where those so called land fills are sealed from everything, no light, no air, no water, nothing gets IN or OUT! TOP or BOTTOM! It is sealed up like a tomb, paper does not even rot in there... So, WHY? are they telling us otherwise???  I guess I am feeling a bit disgusted with the SYSTEM, so today I am venting... Anyone else feel this way??

A few words to help any server earn more in the World of TIPPING...

What is the #1 most important action that needs to be done by any server, upon receiving any Tip?? A single word that will make the total difference between receiving “another” tip that is larger than normal, or maybe just getting a Buck...  This one word or practice, {ACKNOWLEDGEMENT} will determine the difference in the amount of any future Tips given...

Think about this...Whenever a person leaves a larger Tip than required, the customer wants YOU to know that they left this for You... Many times I have seen other workers pick up your tips and maybe bring them “ALL” to you? In truth you never really know just how much that tip was, and/or WHOM it was from.

This is a very BAD practice on your part. (Why else are you working?)   SOMEHOW; you need to be there! to receive the tip and to THANK them personally, every time, no matter how busy you think you are.

This way the customer knows that you got the whole amount, and you know whom it was from.  OTHERWISE! THEY MAY AS WELL HAVE JUST LEFT A BUCK! As it looks like you do not really care.

Most folks are to shy to go directly to you and hand you the tip in person, even though for all intents and purposes, that is what they would like to do.  

 Would this not be true, if YOU were the customer?      Most of this is directly from a Waitress that earns (reported Tax income) more than $580.00 a day in tips alone.
