Women In Prison: A Growing Trend
Why are so many women going to prison? What happens daily once inside? Let's talk about this as I'm curious to know what you all think as there are many factors that play a role. Should we be sympathetic? Should we care? Should we have compassion? Should there be rehabilitation in and out of prison? Should we get involved? What do you think? TIME ON THE INSIDE Behind The Walls In A Maximum Security Women's Prison From An Insiders View - www.fmapublishing.com calls attention to “Why more women are going to prison today more than ever” - “Why the Penal System promotes comfortability rather than rehabilitation”- “Why inmate deaths occur often” - “Why it’s important for society to care about prisoner's rights” -“Why compassion is so important” and overall "What happens once you're behind the walls and after you're released from them?" 7 comments from 7 users

Women are no longer ladies. With the feminist movement, women felt that not only should they have the same employment opportunities and pay as men, (as they should) but that they should also be promiscuous, foul-mouthed, tough, and coarse. From there, it's only a hop, skip, and a jump to the commission of crimes that heretofore were the territory of men.

It looks as though we are being very critical and lumping everyone in the same category. What about the various backgrounds and situations that causes women to get into certain dilemmas? posted by

OK..three guesses as to who used to be housed at the Tehachapi Prison location...before the earthquake in 1952. (edited) By the way Robb..I liked your comment about the population.
