Those who oppose health reform. Your all on your own.

Those who oppose health reform. Your all on your own.

You certainly don’t have the support of the legitimate Small business man. Nor the Big corporations.

The health insurance industry is running these two institutions into bankruptcy.

I have no idea what you wish for. But you should start a list to add to Health Reform.

At least that way you will not be shut out of the discussion.

It’s time to step up or stay at home.

The status quo is looking much better to more and more people all the time.

More Americans would rather Congress do nothing than pass Obama’s plan: 46 percent to 37 percent of people polled say they prefer the current health care system to the one the president has proposed.

Hey Owe!  Fix the economy first!

Just maybe those of us that oppose the government ran health care are more responsible.  Just maybe we don't like depending on others to provide our basic needs.  Just maybe we are more responsible to take care of our basic necessaties like health care before paying for wants like the next greatest tech gadget.  If the left would just stop whining about 'poor me' and stop looking towards gov't to bail their sorry butts everytime they get them selves in trouble, we'd have a responsible country.  I'd rather be on my own than have my hand out for next stimulus or bail out or what ever the big gov't promises.

OBAMA = Promoting Personal IRResponsibility

refiguy, sky isn't falling.  The dollar is - from all the gov't programs and stimulus and bailouts...

drill, you really think O cares about the economy?  I think he cares more for gov't dependency.

tk - I'm off to spend more of your wealth today.  I'm so glad you put our wealth in such a global sense.  By the way, if I spend OUR wealth on food and is consumed by me, do you get satisfied in your fantasy world where all wealth is shared?  Just asking.

According to Tkozy himself he has 8 computers networked and on the internet in his home. But enjoys telling us what we need to be doing and wanting more taxes levied on us. He is disabled and probably wouldn't see any tax increase but wants to force others to pay more.

And for what it's is worth I've been on my own since I got out of high school. And have done just fine. I applied myself and took responability for myself.

How many times you going to post this same blog? Unable to come up with nothing different?

Have a nice day.

To all,

I thought my reason for posting this blog a number of times was obvious. I guess I was wrong so I will explain.

The republican party has in general been considered the party of small and large businesses. Of the corporation.

But republicans of this blog have taken a position with regards to health reform in complete opposition to that of businesses both big and small.

What has happened to the support for business growth among you all.

Have you caved in the overall conquest to support businesses. In favor of promoting the enemy of both business and the consumer.

The Health Insurance Corporation?

Businesses are failing while trying to attract good workers. Because they can no longer afford the excessive charges of the health insurance corporations.

Doesn't that matter anymore?

As I said before. If you have any decency. Stop the whining and bickering.

Provide a clue as to how you would reform health care.

If you say 'The Republican plan”. Do you mean it is acceptable as written. No amendments necessary. Or are there specifics parts that you endorse?

Add to the discussion. Don't complain that I have to many personal computers.

That sort of argument serves no purpose.

Here's the thing cassooner. You do rely on others for your basic needs. Do you grow all your own food? Only eat meat that you've killed, dressed and cooked yourself? Did you dig a well for your water? Do you get the newspaper? Did you build that computer all by yourself? Make your own gas? Use solar panels built by someone else to power your home? Perform surgery on yourself with homemade instruments? You rely on a lot of people for a lot of things.

I'm not going to do the whole left vs right insult game. This is way bigger than that. A great portion of America doesn't have health coverage, and the ones that do have it are paying way too much for it. If we actually look at the problems we face and try to come up with a solution, we can fix healthcare. If we insult each other and say things that divide us, we will all eventually fall.

Overreacting to every little thing won't help either.

tkozy, you're right about healthcare causing a lot of problems for companies large and small. I work for a small company and lost my insurance because the owner could no longer afford the spiraling costs. We have to help these businesses before they all close their doors, and we're stuck buying everything from walmart (whos worker's insurance is subsidized by the state because of their low wages).

"(whos worker's insurance is subsidized by the state because of their low wages)."

So let's add 40 million more and subsidize it all by the feds?  I'm missing the logic to this argument.

Dril,

You keep bringing to the discussion an argument that has been disproved over and over again.

Health reform does not add a single person to the health care system.

It adds millions of people to the Health insurance system. In doing so it will help to reduce costs.

Everyone will in their life time receive some sort of medical care. The question that must be answered is who is going to pay for it.

We are in a system in which more and more Americans are becoming uninsured. That is making things worse not better.

We need reform in order that more and more people are insured at a reasonable cost.

Don’t bring me the critique of a bitter man. What is your solution.

Do you have something constructive to contribute to the discussion?

If not. Maybe this is your opportunity to sit back and learn

The question that must be answered is who is going to pay for it.

Tk, when you can answer your own question honestly you will be able to put this non issue behind you.

Unemployment continues to rise.  The economy suffers.

Dril continues:

Life expectancy for Americans continues to increase.

So does the American death count on the fields of Afghanistan.

Give Americans a job.  Then give them a health insurance premium to pay.

Dril,

I should have worded the sentence as 'How it's going to be paid'. That's what I meant to say.

We both know the American people are paying the price for the entire medical care system. We both know our insurance rates are increased both by those who can not afford care or insurance. And by those who can afford insurance but chose not to purchase it. I think it was Rush that had figures on those earning over 70 grand a year that chose not to buy insurance. The numbers were astonishing.

Let's not forget that 70 grand a year is a large income in the Midwest and south east.

We all know that overhead in the range of 30 to 40 percent is unjustified.

I know the system I would chose. It would be a system based on MediCare. It works wonderfully for me.

It would be a mandatory system that had the option for additional benefits such as cosmetic surgery as a option and at a extra cost. Dental would be an extra cost. Except for extractions and the treatment of infections or injury.

I would urge a greater use of urgent care systems. Doctors offices and urgent care centers located closer to the residential areas. Not like Medical centers that have grown around Memorial hospital and along Stockdale highway.

Health departments that offered more vaccination service. In fact they should be the provider of all vaccinations. In that way doctors offices would be free to perform work more suited to their expertise.

I have always been in favor of an increased fuel tax to help fund social security and medicare. It's the method of choice in Europe.

36 Nations in this world have a system that performs better than ours. We have the opportunity to pick and chose the best areas of those plans and include it in the system we finally endorse.

We all  know the American people are paying the price for the entire medical care system already.

So adding 40 million people to the insurance rolls will only reduce the cost for everyone.
