Cedar Rapids, Iowa is under water!
So, why aren't the people there, shooting each other and looting? Why aren't they on the News griping that the Government didn't come and save them? There is wide spread flooding in the Midwest right now. Why aren't we hearing about all of those poor people that Bush just left there to die??? http://www.reuters.com/arti... Follow the link above.

Tony, great minds and all that. I just posted a comment about this on the line just above yours. It's a real mess. I heard some are calling it Ohio's Katrina. posted by

We, all three know why. Do you think they will be living in FEMA trailers for two or three years bitching about not having a free condo to live in? Don't think so. How many thousands of vouchers are given the the needy in Ohio? Hope it's close to the amount in NOLA. [Joking of course] Seems like two different countries. posted by

Coming in late to this tread, but I just checked all the news web sites this morning and still no reports of looting in the Midwest despite what all are calling a "500 Year Flood." There is hope for America still. posted by

Yea' How about that? People taking care of themselves and each other. Nobody pointing fingers at the "Bad ol' Government". The Midwest is full of typical, hardworking Americans, not layabout parasites with an entitlement attitude. posted by

While I was watching the news they showed boats going around checking houses to make sure all got out safely. They also mentioned that they were watching for looters. Odd that I didn't see a single person slogging through the water with boxes of Nikes or TV sets.
