Lois Henry's article in the Sunday Californain, Section B, is a great wake-up call to all of us who dont fully understand who is running our government.     We, the people, either put these folks into their positions or directly vote for the individuals who do.   It is good for us to see what these individuals do for a "side business", and what kind of financial issues they are involved with.  This type of reporting doesnt mean any of these individuals are bad or are involved with investments that you and I would not be, but it does show there is money in politics.  It is a shame that this type of written summary hasnt, and probably wont, "go to press in Tehachapi".    I think the community would be very interested in what each City official makes in salary and benefits AND what they or their direct family holds in assets.  Tehachapi News, PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!!  Dont forget, local, county, state and federal officials work for THE PEOPLE, not the other way around.   If it takes a "tea party" to fix it, let the brewing begin.
