USC vs. Oregon State

Laying low right now. Had to retreat to the office because things aren't looking good and the better half is not pleased. 6:27 left in the game, 14 to 21. I might be here for a while.

USC is overrated.

Anyone following the game? Any predictions?

I hope SC pulls this off somehow.

Yeah, FSG, in this case you are correct.

Of course I am.  USC has an average strength of schedule, at best.

Mike Riley seems to have Pete Carroll's number. Twice in three years the Beavers have beaten USC. Riley can coach.

What is funny is that people actually think polls this early in the season mean something. No one knows what injuries or infractions are going to do to a team by the time November rolls around. A lot happens over the course of two months.

USC always has problems with Oregon State for some odd reason. This is the 4th straight season that they had problems with that team. The odd thing is that whoever 'SC plays in a bowl game, they'll blow them out. You can't convince me that Oregon State is better than Ohio State. USC has an above average schedule considering who they played (OSU) and where they played (Virginia) outside of the conference. I wish LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas would play stronger schedules. Why waste your time with North Texas, or Troy?

Wanna talk about a tough schedule, jfrancais - look at FSU, which even though we played 2 non-division 1 teams to begin the season, we just played Wake Forest (and unforunately lost), and we also play Colorado, NC State, Miami (FL), Va Tech, Ga Tech,  Clemson,  BC, Maryland, Florida.  We play 3 ranked opponents and at least another 4 on the verge of breaking the top 25.

The whole "played 2 non-division 1 teams" is the part I'm talking about. FSU has a weak schedule. Weaker than USC's. FL, VT and maybe Clemson are the onlly games with merit. The rest are on par with Oregon State's team. Florida State is just not that good regardless of schedule. USC underperformed and tried rely solely on talent. You can't compare the two.

Are you kidding me?

Florida State is a middle of the pack ACC team which is a conference no better than the Pac-10.
