Tomb found in France - BLOODLINE Documentary

Has anyone heard about this? A tomb has been found, believed to be Knights Templar, but it could possibly hold the body of Mary Magdalene.

The tomb is in the mountains of the Languedoc region of southwest France. This may help substantiate the existence of a Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene bloodline.

The chamber holds a mummified corpse on a rose-colored plinth under a shroud bearing the distinctive red cross of the Knights Templar, and is surrounded by wooden chests, revealing a cache of gold chalices and coins.

Here's a link to a photo from inside the tomb.

Anyway, I heard about this, this morning, from my dog walking partner. He has a producer friend who knows someone involved with this new documentary movie, BLOODLINE, coming out this May. It'll be in Los Angeles May 16th.

"After the Crusades, it was rumored that the Templars had discovered treasure underneath the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem that could debunk the Catholic Church's doctrine," said Bruce Burgess, of the unprecedented discovery of what appears to be an intact Knights Templar tomb. "This treasure was believed to be priceless relics -- documents, the Holy Grail, even the embalmed remains of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene -- which was then brought to southern France, and hidden."

The team was able to take some hair strands from the woman's corpse and do a mitochondrial DNA test. "We were able to determine a Middle Eastern maternal origin of the individual based on haplotyping information. After we found out where this hair sample came from, we realized the significance of this work."

The rare find will be further examined at a Monday, May 5 news conference at the Jewish Museum in New York City.

This'll be VERY interesting to see how this plays out. Will it shake The Vatican to it's core?   We'll just have to see.

THEY HAD A DOCUMENTARY ON TV ABOUT THIS MONTHS AGO..EVEN HAD SUPPOSED RELATIVES ON IT..THEY SURMISED THAT MARY WENT TO FRANCE AFTER CHRISTS DEATH AND TOOK THEIR DAUGHTER ..SHE WAS THE ONE THAT MARRIED AND SUPPOSEDLY DEVELOPED CHRISTS DOWNLINE IN FRANCE....

NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT "embalmed remains of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene " BEING DISCOVERED...NOT THAT I CAN REMEMBER..MOSTLY SPECULATION..

I was watching History Channel the other day and a guy was talking about the tomb of Jesus being beneath the Temple of the Sepulchre and of finding all these burial caves.  He said that they "could" be anyones burial place.  I love it when a discovery is made, and a theory is set out there that this "could" be the tomb of  Mary Magdelene.  DNA testing?  And who will they really match it to?  They've been reading too much DaVinci Code.

Heh..my guess is is the Catholic Church hadn't been shaken to it's foundations in the past it won't be now.

 Anyone ever read "The Word?"

Years ago, Nancy.  The point of that book is that scandals have been covered over before, and they will again.

Interesting~who's to say what really happened? But anything Knights Templar sparks an interest in me.

Their history. But pretty much everything  intrests me~ some things longer than others.

I think this is interesting on many levels.  The Catholics could be nervous about some new revelation or even one perceived . The atheists excited about the potential for a "Capone's Tomb"  [Geraldo's  special whoever it was about] non event and the believers praying for proof of a provable bloodline to their savior.

Woof did you get the dolphin video.  If not I can try again.

More Jesus family tombs. This one has remains and DNA samples, yet. What do these people do in their spare time?

I still have the book RF..and one of the things I got from it is that with tattered bits of parchment, one can read what they will into them.  A couple of dots here, a squiggle there, and all religion changes forever.  At least fictionally.

And if someone in the past *DID* just that, and it became accepted dogma ("virgin birth," anyone?) who would know, today?

.

Gaslight, the Knights Templar own Wal-Mart.  Everybody knows that.

Speaking of legends ..ask a Mormon about the Avenging Angels.  See what kind of answer you get.

arent the Knights Templar the Free Mason? so the rumor goes?

I doubt this has much affect or effect on Christianity or atheist. There is no way to tell who is really in the tomb.

Anglo1, I did, I thought I responded to you about it.  If not, I'll say again WAY FREAKING COOL.  And I'm so jealous too.

True, nanc & sfin, theres no way to match the DNA with anyone....it just makes for good food for freethought.

Well, just the fact that Mary was Arab should shake up a lot of people.

Sfin here's a link about York Rites and the tie between Knights Templar and Freemason's.....

I've been delving into more on this because it interests me too (Sage)...trying to find if any women were "Dames" in the order.  I found an interesting blogspot with lots of links of interest.  Could the body be a Dame Templar?  Hmmmm....

Both my family and my spouse's family were Freemasons. My father in-law has really put pressure on both of us joining and becoming active in the local groups.

Do you see it having cult status Sfin?

posted by sfinboston52 on Apr 22, 2008 at 01:21 PM

I have heard that or that it was anti this or that, but from my view the people who belong are good people and the Freemasons do a lot of good work.

I was ask several times a few years ago sfin and presently it seems to be more on the the lines of the  Lions or Elks.  They do have some odd rituals but if I had it to do over again and I still lived and worked in Shafter/Wasco area I would seriously consider it.  You two would make good members, IMO.

Anglo...did my father in-law talk w/ you. <EG>

posted by anglo1 on Apr 22, 2008 at 02:09 PM

Not sure.  It was in Wasco at the Freemason Structure on 7th and Broadway I think.  Very formidible building, fortress like.  The gentleman was 60-65 about 5'8"  thinning hair and very polite and soft spoken.  I met him twice and he invited me to think about becoming a Freemason.  If your family was from Wasco or Shafter it could have been him.  If I remember right he may have been a farmer but that is a guess.  I know he was the man to call to inspect the structure.  I had a relative that was a member many years ago also from Wasco.

My friends father was a local Mason, did all the potato bowls etc...they do good work. Sure they have some secret rituals and such but behind it all are some very good men with great hearts. Thanks for those links Woof!

I was told you just have to ask,and then be sponsored. My grandfather was a Mason.

This story would be great had Christ not died on the cross and was resurrected. Also had Mary had Jesus baby but we all that didn't  happen, now, didn't we? I'm sorry I just can't buy the whole Mary in France with the Christ's baby.

an1ok1joe said "Also had Mary had Jesus baby but we all that didn't  happen, now, didn't we?"

Not sure I understand that sentence, but what makes you think it didn't happen?  Because religion is/was such a patriarchal thing, women didn't have much recorded record.  But you can certainly see how big a part women had if you read the Gnostic Gospels.   If Mary Magdalene was pregnant she would've been rushed out of the region at the risk of being killed herself.

posted by randomfactor on Apr 23, 2008 at 11:37 AM

OKJoe, you can't buy a trip to France but you can swallow bodily assumption for the *OTHER* Mary into heaven?
