Let me know what you think about my observations. en-us WATER PARK? http://people.bakersfield.com/home/Blog/maybelline/26923 http://people.bakersfield.com/home/Blog/maybelline/26923 <p>I'm scratching my noggin.&nbsp; Why is NOR Parks and Rec considering spending $15 million on a water park?&nbsp; If it's such a great investment, you would think someone in the private sector would be scrambling to build one.&nbsp; Furthermore, where is the money coming from?&nbsp; Where is the water coming from?&nbsp; The City has recently destroyed some pools and replaced them with sprinklers.&nbsp; (Yuck)&nbsp; I'm getting off track.</p> <p>My noggin is still scratchy.&nbsp; Guess I should pack my Head and Shoulders and head for the closest water park.&nbsp; Let me know what you think.</p>

 BathingSuit1920s-765828.jpg maybelline JASTRO LIKE HART PARK http://people.bakersfield.com/home/Blog/maybelline/19737 http://people.bakersfield.com/home/Blog/maybelline/19737 <p>What a shame another City pool is slated for demolition.&nbsp; Just like Hart Park faded to its present state - will Jastro Park follow?&nbsp; How unfortunate.&nbsp; I wish our wise City Council could find a way to keep a pool.&nbsp; </p> <p>Couldn't the repair fees be disguised as a tax to help recharge the groundwater aquifer?&nbsp; You think the savings from teaching kids to swim rather than tragically drowning and then their families sue the City could pay for the repairs.</p> <p>Bring back the WPA for welfare recipients.&nbsp; </p> <ul> <li>Our infrastructure would get much needed repairs.&nbsp; </li> <li>People would learn a skill and gain pride in their work.&nbsp; </li> <li>The welfare roll <u>might</u> decline.</li> </ul> <p>Teach them to fish instead of feeding them fish.</p> <p>Again - what a shame.&nbsp; At least I have fond memories</p> 35.373342 -119.034035
