My absolute favorite place to eat breakfast in Bakersfield (Except for my wifes fantastic cooking that is). They are consistently great with good service and the perfect breakfast hangout atmosphere. All of the above is probably why there is almost always a line to eat.
My favorite - Steak & Eggs, hash browns (extra crispy) & wheat toast (smothered in their jam).

What they can create for that menu - and in such a tight kitchen to boot - is incredible. Every early Sunday morning for the past few years a few of us have sampled just about every place in town....

There are a lot of good places. But, since we finally made it to 24th Street Cafe two months ago we have not been any place else. There is truly no need. Brockton Villa in La Jolla doesn't make better food than this. And the servers have been so indulgent and kind it is just something else. We love it.

I love to get their chicken melt. The food is consistantly good but they are a little slow when it comes to service sometimes. It's worth the wait though!

The pumpkin pancakes are the best and go well with a mimosa! The service is great, and the menu
is outstanding. You can't get better than this!
