I have a large GSD, with chronic ear problems. The staff and doctor have always been very accommodating and helpful every time I visit the office. They are very professional and caring. Unfortunately there are some very negative posts on here, and I'm sorry for your bad experience. I, however, would recommend this pet hospital to anyone.

I, too had a bad experience with this place. My cat was sick and I took him in. They kept wanting me to run more tests which would cost thousands of dollars and the doctor wanted to get him in her care for 6 weeks on site. When I told her I could not afford that much money for my cat she left the room in a huff. I think I will make the extra 15 minute trip and continue going back to SouthWest Vet.

I also had a simular experiance with ALLEN ROAD VET HOSPITAL AND DR. KAMEEL who calls herself a vet. They wrongly diagnosed my kids dog with a dead puppy inside and supposidly did x-rays ahead of time and if they did they would have known it was not puppies but stones inside, so she said later, after surgery and after wanting $400. more. We refused to pay more for a surgery we didn not ok ahead of time, nor were informed of ahead of time. They said they tried to call but the # was disconnected.. Hum but they called and got the correct # when they wanted credit card info before surgery. Then when we disputed her practices and charges Dr Kameel said "there would be no charge so we got nothing" when we asked for the x-rays and other items they charged us for. But later they went ahead and charged my Credit card for the surgery they said they were not charging for and i have 3 witnesses who will testify in court when we go, to that effect. I am also reporting her to the vet board for malpractice and bad business practices. We asked for the dogs records to be transfered to another vet and they would not transfer them which is illegal so they were also reported for that. Also the cost they charged us was $625 to get a dead puppy out and spay the dog and since they didnt have to get a dead puppy out they refused to refund part or all of the fees they charged for that but wanted to charge extra for surgery we did NOT ok and knew nothing about until afterwards. If we knew in the first place it was going to cost $1,000 we would have had her put to sleep. It does not cost $625. to spay a dog which we would not have spayed in the first place if we knew the real diagnosis was not breeding related. I urge any and all of you to report her to the Veternary board of CA if you have been wronged by this vet office or Dr Kameel. She is not a good vet in my opinion and will harm more pets than she will save.
