I do like the selection, the no late fees (except one major thing, read on to find out), and that they give you a full week rental period, and service is okay but not great. Those are the reasons why I'm giving Blockbuster 2 stars instead of 1. The one thing I don't like about the no late fees is that last year they started charging the full price in effect at the time of the rental (meaning they charge you the "new" price if it is a new title or the "Previously Viewed" price if it is an older title, I think) when it becomes a sale on top of the price of the rental. 1 week after the due date the rental becomes a sale, then you get 30 days to get a refund minus a $1.25 restocking fee if you don't want to keep it. Before, they charged the "Previously Viewed" price minus the rental price. Last year (I believe it was September), not knowing of the change, which had occured about a month earlier, I went to this location and rented "Madden '07." After it became a sale, I went back and stood in line to pay to keep the game, thinking it would cost me around $40. I was charged almost $54 (on top of the $7.99 rental price)! I was not happy. I really paid $62 for a game that should have cost $20 less! It was then that the clerk told me of the change and that they had warned customers of it by printing it on their receipts when the change date neared, but I hadn't shopped there in a while (I rarely go there anyway, especially since the change) so I didn't know about it. Another thing I don't like is the noon due time (other video stores give you until at least 10pm).
