Well, I have to preface my review by stating I don't consider myself a Christian, so I am really surprising myself reviewing a Christian bookstore. I stumbed into Berean to buy a book on the recommendation of a friend. I had no idea what or where Berean was. After Googling it, I realized it's the place I drive by daily right next to Mor Furniture and the Valley Plaza movie theater.
When I parked and walked up to the door, I was almost afraid to go inside. Like they were going to sniff me out as the non-Christian and stare at me funny, but of course, the staff was super nice and very friendly.
The bookstore was fresh feeling and well organized. It was about double the size I expected it to be from the front. It was a very peaceful, calming store and it was inviting to browse. It offers way more than Christian books, with every kind of religious gifts and decor you could imagine. They even have a storytime for kids every Friday.
The best part was that I saved about $8 on the book I was going to buy at Borders.
