The wine list is suprisingly good, but I haven't been as impressed with the food. Sometimes, I have found this to be a bit of the "scene" in Bakersfield in the late evenings, with the Bakesfield elite & elite wannabes turning out for drinks. I have enjoyed some of the special events I have been to there- wine tastings, etc and their gourmet shop can sometimes be a good place to find gourmet ingredients or gifts for a chef friend.

	Not my favorite place. I've found the service not so good and they seem to only keep about half the wine on their wine list in stock. The other thing that has happened to me (and others) is that... Not my favorite place. I've found the service not so good and they seem to only keep about half the wine on their wine list in stock. The other thing that has happened to me (and others) is that they come back to your table and offer to upgrade your wine if they don't have it, then charge the full price of the upgraded bottle. Of course, since tips are included in the bill here you're stuck with the service and the wine. My advice is to go once for the experience and then eat elsewhere.

	This is a great special occasion restaurant. The entrees and drinks can be a bit pricey, but Cafe Med offers a wonderful atmosphere and I feel I get my money's worth. The salads are good but the... This is a great special occasion restaurant. The entrees and drinks can be a bit pricey, but Cafe Med offers a wonderful atmosphere and I feel I get my money's worth. The salads are good but the beef entrees have been my favorites so far. There's also live music sometimes on the weekends.
