While the service is often sub-par, I have always enjoyed the food.  My favorites are the salmon, and the coconut shrimp.  I also appreciate their variety of salad dressings.

My husband and I have visited this establishment twice, both times the service was horrible, the 1st visit the waitress attended to us right away, but once our food was brought to us she never returned until I physically walked up to the hostess and asked for our check and the manager who by the way is worthless when it comes to complaints.  I DID NOT want money taken off my bill or anything of the kind, what I wanted was someone to come and refill my drink once during my visit. The food was not just bad, it was beyond horrible, both times either my or my husbands food was cold, or burned, and on the 2nd visit my food was not only cold but it was burned as well.  So can you imagin getting your food in that condition!!! The Elephant Bar in my opion is THE WORST dining establishment in Bakersfield, you'd be happier at Denny's and your bill would be cheeper too!! But hey it's just my opion, take it or leave it.

I come here because I like the orange chicken with rice and the Passion Tai drinks.  The service is mediocre, they're semi-friendly and often don't check up on you.
