I wasn't impressed I'm sorry to say.  The pulled pork wasn't "pulled" it was chopped.  The flavor was really good but quite a bit of my pork was tough or overcooked.  The bun was average, nothing to really comment on.  The potato salad was excellent and very fresh with tiny raw carrot cubes which gave it a great crunch.  The fries were below average. 

I'm told that I MUST go back for dinner and I probably will but it won't be on my lunch stop in the future.

The service was outstanding, probably the best I've had in town and the atmosphere is fun and rowdy.  It's a great spot for an entertaining lunch but don't expect to dawdle and visit.  It's noisy and although no one rushed us at all,  the line at the door told us to eat and git.  Other people wanted to enjoy the experience.  It was a bit pricey for lunch, twelve bucks out the door.  Hint....go at 11, there's no waiting at all.

We walked into Famous Dave's at 4:30 pm to beat the dinner crowd, and were immediately put on the "on deck" circle.  We were treated to top notch service.  I had the "Award Winning" St. Louis Ribs & Catfish, my husband had the Beef Rib Tips.  My ribs were dry and tasteless and the catfish mushy.  My husbands rib tips were extremely fatty but had more flavor than my pork ribs.  The corn on the cob was exactly the same as you get at the colonels.  I walked out of there feeling so let down.  It just didn't live up to the hype.  I will give it another chance and try a different item on the menu.

Although I'm not a big BBQ restaurant fan, I just had to see what all the fuss was about. Here are a few observations.

Really long wait (that was expected), weird menu (apparently there is no "a la carte" except ribs), and the decor is something like Hee Haw meets Chucky Cheese.

Overall a good dining experience, but in the future I would probably order their take-out and eat at home.
