My co-workers and I went to Fishlips for lunch. It took us approximately 15 minutes to find a parking spot first. Every turn we made took us further away from the destination since this part of town is littered with "No U-turn" signs. We almost made a dash for the Sequoia Sandwich Company once we eyed the perfect parking spot upfront. However, we remained persistent on our quest for fried goodness.
It smelled like a dirty, kitty litter box upon entering the restaurant. Besides the unappetizing odors, it was dark and gloomy inside and surprisingly not as busy as reported by past reviewers.
We ordered the "Mick Jagger" (Fish and Chips), and I had the "Beck" (Veggie Soup) which was served cold. I did not send the soup back to the kitchen simply because there was only one waitress catering to all the tables. By the time I would get the soup back, I would have already finished my main course. Anyway, the fish and chips were crispy and delicious.
I would go again but will smuggle in a scented candle;)
